The article I chose to write about is called “MINDBODY and strava. Integrating fitness tracking with the business of fitness” by Mary-Claire Burick. This article discusses how MINDBODY, a cloud based software company that provides online booking for fitness studios, and strava, a fitness tracking app that tracks data like number of miles run, average pace, and calories burned can work together to provide better service for their customers.
I think it would be interesting to integrate strava with MINDBODY because when you go to sign up at a studio you will be able to see how many miles per day you run doing your workouts. This would be very interesting because you could see how fast you are running or how long your runs are. This is cop because people who want to start running or try new ways to get in shape can see what they are doing in the gym compared to the outside world. They can see if they are getting faster or keeping the same pace. This also helps them get motivated because they get to visual the progress they are making.
I think that if MINDBODY and strava were integrated then the user experience would be better because it would be easier for people to track their progress in the gym and on the road. When a person signs up for a gym membership they already have a strava account, so it would make sense for them to integrate strava into the MINDBODY platform. The user experience would be better for both companies because it would be easier for people to track their progress. It would also be easier for people to compare their data from the gym and their data from strava after a workout. Another reason this is beneficial is because people who use strava to track their workouts also go back to that app later to review their data after a workout. If there was integration between the two apps then people wouldn’t have to keep going back and forth between different apps. They would just have to use the app they currently have set up.
In conclusion, strava and MINDBODY need to do something about integrating their platforms so it will be easier for people to track their progress in the gym and outside. People who use both apps will enjoy it more because they don’t have to switch back and forth between apps.
The process to integrate MINDBODY and strava may seem complicated and intimidating. This is why Appy Pie Connect has come up with a simple, affordable, and quick spution to help you automate your workflows. Click on the button below to begin.
