How Microsoft To-Do & Sentry Integrations Work

Integration of Microsoft To-Do and Sentry

  • Microsoft To-Do is a task manager app developed by Microsoft. This app can be used to manage tasks for personal or business purposes. It allows the user to create tasks, set reminders, and assign them to different categories.
  • Sentry is a smart task manager app developed by Wrike. This app allows the user to manage their tasks by setting reminders, sub-tasks, alerts, project information, etc. I have seen that there are many apps available in the market for task management purpose but the integration of these two apps will help to effectively manage tasks.
  • Integration of Microsoft To-Do and Sentry

    Integrating Microsoft To-Do with Sentry will help the user to manage tasks effectively. The user can send an email to his/her co-worker via Microsoft To-Do and the co-worker will be able to see the task on Sentry which allows him/her to update or complete the task. So, here are the steps that how to integrate Microsoft To-Do with Sentry.

    Step 1. Open Sentry app and tap on the gear icon at the top right corner. Then, select “Integrations”.

    Step 2. Then, click on “Add Integration” and then select “Microsoft To-Do”. (Note. you need to sign into your Microsoft account before you can add this integration.

    Step 3. Now, you will get a six digit code on the screen of your phone. Now open Microsoft To-Do app and go to “Settings” and scrpl down and tap on “Enable Push Notifications” and then enter the six digit code and click on “Verify Code” button.

    Step 4. Now, you will get a message saying “This integration has been successfully enabled”. After that, you can add your tasks to Sentry from Microsoft To-Do or add tasks from Sentry to Microsoft To-Do by fplowing the steps given below:

  • Open Microsoft To-Do app and add a new task by tapping on (+. icon at the bottom left corner of the screen. Then, tap on “Add Details” and enter details in “Title” section and in “Notes” section.
  • Tap on “Due Date” and enter a due date and tap on “Complete” button so that it will convert into a check box. Then tap on “Save” button.
  • Now, open Sentry app and select any task from “My Tasks” section or from “Inbox” section. Then, tap on “Edit Details” button at the bottom of the screen which will open a popup. In this popup, tap on “Add Attachment” button and select the task from Microsoft To-Do app by tapping on “Choose File” button. You can also send an email from Sentry to your co-worker by tapping on “Email Task” option at the bottom of popup window. In this window, enter subject title, body details, add attachments if needed, add recipient name and email address, tap on “Send Email” button and then it will send an email with task details to your co-worker.
  • I have tested this integration process several times and it works perfectly fine for me. But I have seen some users saying that they can’t integrate these two apps together because they do not get a six digit code while adding integration between Sentry and Microsoft To-Do apps. This is a bug which will be fixed soon in future versions of these apps. So, stay tuned with us for more updates about this topic.
