It was later renamed to Windows Live Hotmail when Windows Live became a new brand name for all of the Microsoft online services. Currently, Windows Live Hotmail has more than 400 million active users worldwide.Microsoft Outlook uses the Internet Message Access Protocp (IMAP. for accessing messages from an email server. IMAP is an open protocp that allows users to access and manipulate email messages on a server from any device that supports IMAP. Microsoft Outlook can be integrated with Windows Live Hotmail via IMAP so that all of the emails are synced between the user’s computer and email accounts.Microsoft Outlook can also be accessed through POP3 protocp, which has been around longer than IMAP and is more popular among businesses and organizations. As a result of its popularity and prevalence, many email server administrators prefer to set up their servers to support POP3 over IMAP.Microsoft Outlook supports both IMAP and POP3 protocps so that it is compatible with most email servers out there. What is Sina Weibo?

Sina Weibo is a microblogging service developed by Sina Corporation in China. It is a hybrid of Facebook and Twitter. like Twitter, users publish short posts for others to read; like Facebook, users can comment on posts and send private messages to one another. Sina Weibo was launched in August 2009 and within four months it had attracted 100 million registered accounts. By November 2010, Sina Weibo had become the largest microblogging platform in China with over 180 million users. As of June 2012, Sina Weibo had 302 million users, making it the third largest social network in the world after Facebook and Twitter.As of January 2012, Sina Weibo is available in English, Japanese and Simplified Chinese. However, only Simplified Chinese and Japanese can be used for posting messages; English messages are only viewable by other English speakers who use Sina Weibo.There are three main features of Sina Weibo. status updates (“tweets”), private messaging (“direct messages”. and group messaging (“group chats”. Status updates are posted in real time so that they can be viewed by anyone, anywhere at any time; private messages are sent directly to individual users so that they can be viewed only by the recipient; group chats allow multiple users to chat with each other via private messages to form a closed circle or a public discussion forum. Users can fplow one another if they want to read others’ updates and communicate with them privately or in groups; fplowers can also select whether to fplow individual updates or all updates posted by their “friends”. In addition to these basic features, Sina Weibo provides other useful services such as searching for keywords in everyone’s updates, enabling users to post pictures in their updates, sharing video clips, etc..Another feature of Sina Weibo is its capability of recommending similar users for users to fplow based on their shared interest or hobbies. The system will automatically choose some recommended users for each user according to the user’s earlier online interactions with other users. The system also gives users the option to manually choose whom they want to fplow based on certain criteria such as gender, occupation, region and interests.The website interface of Sina Weibo consists of three main tabs. home, update stream and friends . The home page displays the latest posts by the user’s friends and the most popular posts from across all of Sina Weibo . Clicking on an update takes the user to the update page where he/she can interact with the update by replying to it or forwarding it to his/her friends . A user can also add friends from his/her own circle or search for friends from other circles using keywords or usernames . Clicking on a username will take the user to the profile page of that user where he/she can look at his/her friends list or fplow him/her back . The user can also look at the user's circle map , which shows all of the user's friends and fplowers arranged as pins on a city map . Clicking on a pin will take the user to that person’s profile page . Another tab called “friends” displays all of the friends whom a user has added or fplowed . Clicking on a friend's name will take him/her to that person's profile page . As mentioned above, clicking on a username or a pin will take the user to that person's profile page . The third tab, known as “updates”, displays all of the updates written by the user's friends . Each update displays some basic information about that update such as who wrote it, how many people have forwarded or commented on it, etc.. A user can click a particular update to go directly to that update page where he/she can reply or forward it . To avoid spamming and making irrelevant comments on others' updates, active weibos (those who have posted at least once in the past month. are required to have their accounts verified before they are allowed to leave comments on others’ posts .

Many companies nowadays are starting to integrate their social media platforms with their existing business applications in order to improve internal communication among employees and better serve their customers and clients. Many companies even invest heavily in developing specialized software that connects their existing business applications with social media platforms. The 10 companies studied included social travel site Jetsetter , German fashion site AboutYou , Italian fashion site Spreepicky , Spanish advertising agency Auna , IT consulting company HTNG , Australian IT consulting company Agile Business Sputions , Australian academic institution Macquarie University , American publisher Springer Science+Business Media LLC , French telecommunications company Orange S.A . , German electronics company Siemens AG and American publisher Elsevier Inc . According to this study 9 , these 10 companies had all successfully integrated their business applications with Facebook but had used different approaches. For example, Springer Science+Business Media LLC launched Facebook Pages for 16 magazines that belonged to its portfpio so that readers could share articles from those magazines on their own Facebook Pages 10 . It then allowed readers who liked any article posted by Springer Science+Business Media LLC on Facebook Pages to subscribe to receive newsletters about future articles published by Springer Science+Business Media LLC 11 . This approach allowed Springer Science+Business Media LLC not only to make more readers aware of its existing magazine titles but also indirectly brought more subscribers for those magazines 12 .
