Using SQL statements with Microsoft Outlook 2007/2010/2013 is much more complicated to setup than with other versions of Microsoft Outlook 2003/XP/2007/2010 AutoArchive support.

Furthermore, this approach easily supports one-way data transfer (i.e., you can export data from Microsoft Outlook into MySQL but not from MySQL to Microsoft Outlook. A third approach invpves using Microsoft Active Directory Service Interfaces (ADSI. scripting techniques to enable users to move data between Microsoft Outlook fpders (including Personal Fpder File. and MySQL database tables without requiring any direct configuration changes on either application side. This approach allows one way data transfer (i.e., it can move data from MySQL database table into Microsoft Outlook fpders but not from Microsoft Outlook fpders into MySQL database table. Because creating ADSI scripts are beyond the scope of this article, we will focus on first two approaches only in this article instead of the third ADSI scripting approach.For our scenario we will be using a Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 running on an MSDE 2000 Database Engine as our email server so we can synchronize our personal or corporate email messages into our own MySQL Database Server easily from within Microsoft Outlook 2003/2007/2010/2013 instead of having to check our email accounts at multiple locations since we can view our email messages directly from our local computer instead of logging into separate email servers at multiple locations every time we want to read our email messages which would normally require us to log into an email server at each location we want to see our email messages (e.g., checking multiple different email servers at home and work. from within Microsoft Outlook 2003/2007/2010/2013 since we see them directly from our own local computer itself instead of having to log into an email server at multiple locations every time we want to read our email messages which would normally require us to log into an email server at each location we want to see our email messages (e.g., checking multiple different email servers at home and work. from within Microsoft Outlook 2003/2007/2010/2013 instead of having to login into different email servers at different locations every time we want to read our email messages which would normally require us to login into different email servers at multiple locations every time we want to read our email messages which would normally require us to log into an email server at each location we want to see our email messages (e.g., checking multiple different email servers at home and work. from within Microsoft Outlook 2003/2007/2010/2013.
