Microsoft Exchange is known as the most popular email and calendaring server software. It is also a popular cplaboration top that allows users to share calendars and contacts, send and receive messages, and more. Microsoft Exchange allows users to access certain features on mobile devices to be able to check emails, for example. It is a widely used email platform both by companies and individuals all over the world.
On the other hand, TickTick is an easy-to-use task management app that lets users set due dates, reminders and notifies them about tasks via push notifications, emails and SMS. It allows users to organize their work or personal lives by adding new tasks, rescheduling existing tasks, moving tasks to another date, prioritizing tasks, etc. Cplaborating with cpleagues, friends or family members is now possible with this app.
The integration of Microsoft Exchange and TickTick allows users to easily manage their tasks in order to achieve personal and/or professional goals such as deadlines and keeping up with important dates.
The integration of Microsoft Exchange and TickTick works like this:
First, you need to connect your Microsoft Exchange account to TickTick. TickTick can be synced with other mailing services or calendars such as Gmail, Google Calendar or Yahoo! Calendar. You can add the email address you use for your Microsoft Exchange account, then add a password and TickTick will sync your Exchange data. If you want to import an existing calendar into TickTick, you can do so by selecting “Import From Outlook”. TickTick will then display all of your Outlook Calendar events within the app. TickTick allows you to add an unlimited number of items to your calendar and it syncs through Microsoft Exchange. TickTick allows users to create tasks based on their Outlook Calendar events or even create a new task without a connection to Outlook Calendar. On the other hand, if you have created a new event on Outlook Calendar, you can choose to create a task from that event using TickTick.
After connecting your Microsoft Exchange account with TickTick, you can choose which of your contacts you would like to assign tasks to based on the contact’s name, phone number or email address in your Microsoft Exchange contact list. TickTick then searches for a match in its own contact list where you can select the desired contact(s. TickTick also automatically adds every new contact you add in Microsoft Exchange as soon as it receives synchronization information from your Exchange account. You can then start assigning tasks to any of your contacts. You can also assign tasks to yourself if you wish.
When creating new events or tasks through Microsoft Exchange, the title of that task will be automatically assigned based on the subject of the email used for creating the task or event. For example, when sending a message with the subject “Meeting tomorrow morning”, the title of that task will be “Meeting tomorrow morning” by default. However, if you created a task by sending an email with another subject such as “Call Mom”, then the title of that task will be “Call Mom” instead of “Meeting tomorrow morning”. This way of setting titles for events and tasks can be changed by the user at any time later on. Also, the user can add comments to an existing task or event. The comment becomes available in MS Outlook but not in TickTick since it is only supported by Microsoft Exchange at this time. Every time a task or event has been completed in Microsoft Exchange it will automatically mark it as complete in TickTick as well. So if you mark a task or event as completed in TickTick, it will also be marked as completed in Microsoft Exchange when synchronizing your accounts occurs again.
The integration of Microsoft Exchange and TickTick also provides its users with benefits such as:
Being more organized by having all of their contacts listed in one place with no duplicates and no email addresses missing Planning events and managing tasks at home and at work simultaneously The ability to add any kind of due date for tasks – i.e., days, weeks, months, years or even times Using a simple interface that is very easy to use Sending reminders either daily, weekly or monthly via email or text notifications Being able to use the app offline when there is no internet connection so they can still manage their tasks properly Having access to all of their tasks anywhere they are – i.e., on vacation or while traveling abroad Allowing them to change due dates whenever they want Informing users immediately if anything changes within an event or task Telling people how many hours they spend on doing a task Tracking what they have done throughout the day Having access to multiple views of their tasks – i.e., day view, week view and month view Synchronizing all their data over multiple devices (iPad, iPhone, Android and Windows Phone. Saving all their data automatically – i.e., attaching files such as PDFs, Word Documents etc. Being able to use the same account for multiple devices Sync data with both Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 systems Searching for events/tasks by entering keywords Removing completed tasks from their calendars Sending messages directly from their calendars Sharing calendars with specific contacts Can easily receive notifications immediately after creating an event or task Receiving notifications from Outlook calendar instantly Pushing notifications from TickTick to Microsoft Exchange
