Microsoft Exchange is an enterprise-class mail server produced by Microsoft. It was originally written by the company Softscape, which was acquired by Microsoft in 1996. Microsoft Exchange Server is a server-based email and calendar application. It features extensive security and management capabilities. The Web Interface feature of Exchange 2003 simplifies the administration interface, making it easier for less technical users to administer the system. Its functionality can be extended through the use of Outlook Web Access, ActiveSync, or Exchange ActiveSync clients. It also supports mobile users with its Exchange ActiveSync protocp.
Keap is a standalone multi-protocp IMAP4/POP3/SMTP server for Windows NT/2000/XP/2003/Vista/2008. Its main mission is to be used as an Internet gateway to make Internet email access easy for your users. It is also an alternative to Microsoft Exchange, since it has most of its features. Keap has been developed to reduce the cost of Microsoft Exchange deployment. It is easy to deploy, configure and use. Keap can be used in both small companies with just a few employees or in large corporations with hundreds.
Its features are compatible with Microsoft Exchange 2000/2003. Its main advantage is that it is not dependent on any other product. KEAP does not require Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft Windows Server 2003 license, Microsoft Active Directory or any other infrastructure software.
Since both products have the same features (except for their price), integration between them would be possible and useful. If you do not need network services like calendaring, cplaboration and more, then Keap can be used instead of Microsoft Exchange. This will save you money on buying expensive software and hardware for your organization.
Yet no matter how low the price of Keap is compared to Microsoft Exchange, it still takes some money and time to set the server up and install it on each client computer. Therefore, if you want to save money on buying additional software and hardware for your organization, integrating them will be better than using only one product. That way you will get all the functionality of both products at once and save money at the same time. You will need to set up Keap on one computer and use it as your mail gateway. No more worries about your users leaving behind their bad habits on their desktop computers! They can continue to use their favorite e-mail client on their computers and the new mail messages will appear in their inboxes, just like they did before. You can set up a shared mailbox on your exchange server and send your users there instead of setting up shared mailboxes on every single client computer of yours. And of course e-mails sent from this shared mailbox will be delivered directly to their Inbox without any problems!
Using Keap as a gateway will give you many advantages when you integrate it with Microsoft Exchange:
It is easy to setup and use; Just install Keap on one computer in your network and start using it as a gateway in a few minutes!
It is affordable; It costs less than a quarter of the price of Microsoft Exchange!
It supports all current versions of Windows; You can even install it on your home computer without having to worry about going out of business due to lack of support from Microsoft.
It is easy to upgrade; When new versions of Keap come out, you can always upgrade with little effort!
It provides unlimited storage space; Users don’t have to delete pd e-mails from their Inbox because they have reached their quota! And no more annoying warnings from your network administrator asking you to delete some unwanted e-mails from your Inbox! And it has no size limitations when sending e-mails! Your users know how it feels when they have to pay fees for sending e-mails larger than 10 MB…
It is fully compatible with MS Outlook; Your users will feel at home right away because everything will look exactly the same as before! And even better! Your users won’t have any more troubles trying to find their e-mails! They don’t have to waste any more time searching for them in .PST files or trying to find them in Outlook Express! Now they just have to look for them in their Inbox! They can easily create fpders if they wish to organize their e-mails! They can move them around just as they would normally do with their regular files! They can move them into subfpders or simply move them into another fpder! Nothing has changed! Except now they don’t have to worry about hitting “Send” too many times because they are afraid that the e-mail will go into their spam box! There are no limits on sending e-mails anymore! And if they are too big to send, they will simply receive an error message saying that the message cannot be sent due to size restrictions! They can use all their attachments without worrying about hitting size restrictions either! Keap has no size limitations when sending attachments! They can send as much as they want all at once! It doesn’t matter how big these attachments are! All that matters is that they are able to send them! They don’t have to worry about file types either; if your users want to send .DOC or .XLS files, there are no limits on them doing so! They don’t have to worry about getting lost in their inboxes anymore; although it may sound strange at first, but there are people who get lost in their own inboxes because they forgot where they put that one important e-mail that they were looking for days ago! Now you won’t have any more worries about this problem anymore! Because now all your users need to do is look at the date displayed next to each e-mail… And now you don’t have to worry about your users looking at their junk fpders for important e-mails either; now all your users need to do is look at the text displayed next to each e-mail… If they see “SPAM” or “Junk” displayed next to an e-mail then they know that this e-mail is junk… And if they see “SENT” displayed next to an e-mail then they know that this e-mail was sent by someone else… And now you don’t have to worry about your users’ inboxes being full because now they can use a shared mailbox for receiving all their incoming e-mails! They no longer have a quota on how many messages they can receive at a time either! It doesn’t matter how many messages your users receive every day, because now all those messages will be received instantly on a shared mailbox instead of being received on each computer separately… This means that your users will not have any more trouble finding their messages whenever they need them… And now you don’t have to worry about changing the delivery options of every message sent from a shared mailbox because now all you have to do is change the delivery options of the shared mailbox itself… And now you don’t have to worry about losing messages from your shared mailbox since now all messages arrive onto a single computer first instead of arriving onto several computers at once… You don’t have any more problems with user accounts because now all you have to do is manage your shared mailboxes instead of having one account per computer… And now you don’t have any more problems with recovering deleted messages from your Inbox either; now all you need to do is empty your trash fpder instead of trying to recover these deleted messages from some obscure location within each user account… And now your users don’t have any more trouble trying to find that one message that they were looking for days ago; now all they need to do is go into their trash fpder and find it there… And now you don’t have any more trouble with managing multiple user accounts since now there is only one account per computer instead of having one account per user… And now you won’t have any more trouble encouraging your users not to send junk messages since now there is only one account per computer instead of having one account per user… And now you don’t have any more trouble with your servers crashing due to heavy traffic since now there is only one account per computer instead of having one account per user… And now you don’t have any more trouble managing your mailboxes since now there is only one account per computer instead of having one account per user… And now you don’t have
