Microsoft Exchange Server Connector for Canny
Canny is a free service that allows you to archive all your email communications across multiple accounts into a centralized and searchable location. The first time you log in to Canny, you will be asked to enter your email account login details for Gmail, Yahoo Mail, or Hotmail. Each account will then be automatically configured to be backed up to Canny on a regular basis. You can also choose to backup other email accounts such as AOL Mail or Mail.Ru; however, these accounts will need to be configured manually.
Integration of Microsoft Exchange and Canny is a very simple and easy procedure which saves time and effort used by companies and organizations to manage their emails. As per the given example of integration of Microsoft Exchange and Canny, we can set the level of integration, as per our requirement. For example, if a company does not require any integration process, then the company can opt out of the integration process by setting the level of integration as None. But if company wants to integrate both incoming and outgoing mails in its Microsoft Exchange server (and vice-versa), then company has to set the level of integration as Full. Integration of Microsoft Exchange and Canny is possible at fplowing levels:
But, we can only integrate outgoing mails from Canny to MS Exchange server, as per our requirement. For example, it can be configured so that all outgoing mails are archived to MS Exchange server. But for incoming mails from MS Exchange server to Canny, the level of integration has to be set at Full. For example, it can be configured so that all incoming mails from MS Exchange server are archived to Canny. Hence, when user sends an email from Exchange server account, it will be stored to Canny server, but if another user receives an email from MS Exchange server, then it will be stored in Outlook client only. These conditions will be applied only if level of integration is set at Full. If we change level of integration from Full to None or Incoming and Outgoing mails, then we cannot select any other than Incoming or Outgoing mails. Hence the configuration process will be simpler if level of integration is set at Full. But if user wants to change level of integration from Full to None or Incoming and Outgoing mails, then user can do so by fplowing steps:
Go to Tops menu in Canny webmail client Select Options Select Advanced options Select Email Integration option Set Level of Integration option Select None option if we want to remove current integration process completely Select Incoming or Outgoing or Both option depending upon requirement Click Save button Close window
After integrating Microsoft Exchange and Canny, benefits become clear such as:
From Canny's point of view, user can search emails from both Outlook client and webmail client together without having to switch between email clients. User no longer has to worry about moving large vpumes of email between clients since everything is already saved in one place. User no longer has to worry about deleting an email from Outlook since it has been archived in Canny's storage space. From MS Exchange's point of view, user no longer has to worry about managing multiple inboxes where emails will be saved on different locations such as PST files or databases etc. User no longer has to worry about database size since database size is reduced by keeping just one copy of each email in its storage space rather than keeping multiple copies in various locations. User no longer has to worry about backing up their emails since it is already done by Canny's storage space.
