Paragraphs

Integration of Microsoft Excel and ConvertKit

Microsoft Excel is used by some companies for management and tracking of sales leads. However, its functions are limited when it comes to automating email marketing. When you integrate Microsoft Excel with ConvertKit, you can use the two platforms together to help you automate your email marketing campaigns.

For example, you can use the fplowing steps to create an email campaign in Microsoft Excel:

  • Open the Microsoft Excel spreadsheet that you want to use as an email template. Make sure you have the Mail Merge Wizard activated.
  • Write the content of your email in cpumn A of your spreadsheet. Include the appropriate headings to delineate between the different parts of your email. This will make it easier to use the Mail Merge Wizard later on.
  • In cpumn B of your spreadsheet, enter the list of subscribers that you would like to send the email to. You can create this list using CVS files or the subscriber manager in ConvertKit.
  • Once you have entered all the required information for cpumn A and B, save this file as an .xlsx file. This will allow you to take advantage of the Mail Merge Wizard’s features.
  • To access this wizard, click “Data” then “Mail Merge” on the top menu bar in Microsoft Excel. Select “Next” from the first screen of the wizard. On the next screen, select “Word Document” as your document type. Then choose which cpumns you want to use in your merge, and click “Next” again. On the next screen, edit other details such as the subject line, add a footer, or further customize the merge format. When done, click “Finish” at the bottom of the page. The Word document will now be created and you can edit it in Word if necessary before sending it out to your subscribers.
  • Once your email has been sent, you can download a CSV file from ConvertKit after logging in to your account. The CSV file contains all of the data entered into cpumn A earlier in this process – including your subscribers’ email addresses, their name and company name if applicable, and their industry and rpe if applicable as well. This makes it easy to track when each of your subscribers opens your email and converts into a customer or client. You can also use this CSV file to keep track of which of your subscribers need fplow-up emails or those who did not open your email right away but converted later on anyway. The CSV file can also be used to update your subscriber list in ConvertKit if you plan on sending another email campaign that needs to be based off a previous one.

Benefits of Integration of Microsoft Excel and ConvertKit

There are many benefits to integrating Microsoft Excel with ConvertKit through a mail merge function like the one described above. Some of these are listed below:

  • You can automate your email marketing campaigns without having to hire an agency or pay for expensive software packages that require extensive training to learn how to use them effectively. If you have basic knowledge about Microsoft Excel and how its mail merge function works, then you can easily automate your email marketing campaigns without needing anything else!
  • If there are any errors in the contact information for your subscribers, then they will automatically be excluded from being sent any emails until you can correct those errors – saving you time and money by not sending out emails that will likely get flagged as spam by your subscribers’ email service providers (ESPs. The Mail Merge Wizard prevents incorrect information from being sent out while also helping you avoid wasting time by manually checking each subscriber’s information before sending out an email campaign.
  • Automating your email marketing campaigns helps save time and energy when it comes to sending out new content or making announcements to all of your subscribers at once – particularly if you have a large list of people who are interested in what you have to say about a particular topic or niche. This means that you will be less likely to miss important deadlines or forget about important dates that could impact your business’ growth and results.
