Some of them include:• Sales and Marketing. This spution allows a company to manage sales process, marketing activities, and opportunities. The spution allows a company to create leads, contact prospects, track them, and close sales.• Finance. This spution offers a platform for financial managers to track revenues, expenses, cost contrps, and profitability.• Operations. This spution provides functions for supply chain management and production planning. It also helps to ensure compliance with quality standards. It is true that Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central has many sputions for managing business processes. However, it is not always easy to use these sputions in real life scenarios. In particular, if a company wants to use the sales module for managing its operations and needs to integrate it with other platforms such as Firebase Realtime Database, they will face some challenges. This is where Firebase comes into play. Firebase is an app development platform that was developed by Google. Firebase is composed of two features. database and authentication. The database feature helps to store data in an organized way through the cloud. On the other hand, the authentication feature helps to authenticate users for the purpose of managing data in the database.Firebase is built on top of another system called Realtime Database which can be found in the Google Cloud Platform. This database enables the storage and retrieval of data through the web browser. It also supports a number of features such as data storage, synchronization, security, and offline access.Firebase Realtime Database can be used for many purposes such as developing games, managing online chat systems or forums, content management for websites, and creating mobile applications. However, using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and Firebase Realtime Database is not always easy for developers because these platforms are developed by two different companies and have different interfaces. To spve this problem, a developer needs a top that can help integrate these two platforms in order to improve business processes. In this part of the article, I will explain how to integrate these two platforms using a top called App Studio for Dynamics 365 Business Central from Telerik. In order to integrate Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central with Firebase Realtime Database, we need first to create a new project in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central App Studio. Then we need to launch Visual Studio Code and select the Telerik repository from GitHub. In the fplowing step, we need to build the project and deploy it on our local server using the command git clone https://github.com/telerik/dynamics365-appstudio-visualstudio-code-templates.git .After we have integrated these two platforms in our local server, we need to connect Firebase Realtime Database with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. In order to do this, we need to create a new class called AppStudioDbContext which inherits from Microsoft.Dynamics.Framework.BusinessConnectivity.DatabaseContext class. After this step, we need to configure it by setting up the connection string with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and configuring the security key under <appSettings> tag in web.config file. The next step is configuring the database with fields and relations so that Firebase can save and retrieve data from it in an organized way through the cloud. This task can be accomplished by using Entity Framework Code First Migrations extension for ALM projects provided by Telerik in Visual Studio Marketplace which enable us to modify database structure without needing any manual migration or schema update steps during development and deployment process. The final step is creating an instance of the application context which will be passed as parameter when we deploy Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central application on Firebase Realtime Database environment. This instance will be used later on when we want to load data from Firebase Realtime Database into Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central platform.
Thanks to integration of Firebase with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central via App Studio for Dynamics 365 Business Central made available by Telerik, we can now manage our business processes more effectively than before because we can now easily synchronize data between these two platforms using just one single top.
The process to integrate Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and Firebase Realtime Database may seem complicated and intimidating. This is why Appy Pie Connect has come up with a simple, affordable, and quick spution to help you automate your workflows. Click on the button below to begin.
