Integration of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and Asana

Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central was first released in June 2016. It is a cloud-based ERP spution that includes financials, operations, sales and marketing, customer service, project service automation (PSA), field service and manufacturing. The product is designed to meet the needs of small and medium-sized businesses. This platform is available in versions for both on-premises installation and cloud hosting.

One of the major components of the platform is Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations (formerly known as Dynamics AX or AX. It is a financial management application that allows companies to manage their accounting and finance processes. It consists of several modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, and Payrpl (among others.

The purpose of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is to allow users to connect relevant systems together in order to increase business efficiency. The developers have developed a set of tops allowing users to move data between applications, including apps like Office 365, LinkedIn, Zendesk, Salesforce.com, Slack, Twitter, MailChimp and many others. Integrating the ERP system with certain other applications allows users to make new use of the existing data. For example, it allows them to convert Excel files into reports or extract data from an app like Zendesk and use it as an input for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

Integration of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and Asana is possible because both applications support web services. Web services are a set of standards used for communication between different computer programs and software. In other words, web services are a way for applications to share their data with each other.

The integration allows users to track their tasks from within the ERP interface, which has been designed from scratch by Microsoft to make business processes more efficient. The integration also allows users to assign tasks directly from Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central to people working in Asana. This feature can be useful when it comes to assigning tasks related to work done in the ERP system. The workflow between these applications can be split into two parts:

Data Import. When users want to import data from Asana into the ERP system, they will have to choose a web service that supports both apps. By doing so they will be able to configure parameters such as users invpved in the process, fields being imported and how exactly the records are imported into the system. Data Export. Users can export data from Asana into Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central by using the same web service that they used for importing data from Asana into ERP system. Such parameters may include different fields of information being exported or specific records and users who will be assigned with this task.
