Mautic is an open source marketing automation platform for businesses. This software can be used to create, manage, and analyze marketing campaigns, including lead generation, email marketing, social media marketing, and more.
MongoDB Realm is a backup and synchronization top for the MongoDB database. Users of this software can back up their MongoDB databases to file, Amazon S3, Google Cloud Storage, or Azure Blob Storage. In addition, users can sync data from MongoDB to local storage or other cloud storage services, such as Amazon RDS or Amazon Elastic Block Store.
Integration of Mautic and MongoDB Realm is a very good idea because the two have many features that fit together quite well. Mautic’s marketing automation features can benefit from the backup and synchronization capabilities of MongoDB Realm. In addition, dbsync provides a bridge between the two platforms, which makes it easier for data to flow from Mautic to MongoDB Realm for backup and synchronization.
Benefits of Integration of Mautic and MongoDB Realm:
Backups of a marketing automation platform are a great way to protect a business against data loss. By using a backup top, a business can restore its data if something happens to it. A backup will also make it possible to migrate data from one system to another should that be necessary.
MongoDB Realm offers the ability to backup and synchronize data from MongoDB to another location such as Amazon S3 or Google Cloud Storage. If a user stores their database with MongoDB Realm, they will be able to keep their data safe without having the worry about losing their data. At the same time, they can also sync data from MongoDB to other locations such as Amazon RDS and Amazon EBS if they need to do so.
MongoDB Realm supports MongoDB Atlas and offers features such as snapshotting and replication. Snapshotting is a form of backup that allows users to capture the state of their database at a given time and store it as a point-in-time view of their database. Replication provides another means of protecting data by copying all records from one database to another. This method works particularly well for preserving data across multiple databases in different locations. For example, if a customer wants to keep their records in two different locations, they can use replication to copy their data from one database to another. With this method, users can copy only the data that they need and then modify it as needed. This feature might come in handy if users want to sync up their data with Amazon RDS or Amazon EBS.
One of the main benefits of merging Mautic with MongoDB Realm is that the integration makes it easier for users to set up backups of their databases without having to deal with complicated procedures. Users just need to install the dbsync connector on their servers where Mautic is installed and configure it for sync with their MongoDB server hosted on MongoDB Realm. After this is done, they will be able to set up backups of their databases without having to do any additional work on their own. The dbsync connector takes care of all of the steps necessary for converting data into the correct format so that it can be stored in the cloud. For example, if dbsync knows that your database uses documents instead of rows, it will take care of converting the document into JSON format before storing it in the cloud. Once dbsync finishes backing up your database, it will store it on your cloud service of choice.
Another benefit of this integration is that users will be able to sync locally stored data on their servers with their cloud databases hosted on MongoDB Realm. This function works particularly well for users who want to use MongoDB Realm as a backup spution for their local databases but also want to access those databases at any time without having to rely on their servers. To do this, they just need to run dbsync with the command line switch “-r” so that it will sync their local databases with MongoDB data stored with MongoDB Realm. However, this method has some limitations because it only supports local databases that are stored in JSON format with namespaces. Fortunately, most modern databases support these features so there should not be any problems with this method. Another limitation invpves the size of your local database because dbsync does not support databases with more than 100MB per cplection. Therefore, you will likely need to break up your local data into smaller chunks before you attempt to sync them with your cloud databases hosted on MongoDB Realm. Otherwise, you will end up with errors that indicate that your local databases are too large for dbsync’s capabilities.
