The conclusion is your last paragraph. In this paragraph you will wrap up your article and talk about why you think that your topic is important or interesting to others. You will also include a statement that sums up your entire article. These are key components of an article that can either make or break your article.
An argument article requires you to take a stance on a subject. It is a claim or opinion. Let’s look at an example of this type of article:
What Should We Do About ISIS
ISIS has been growing in power since its formation in 2004. Even now, it is still growing in power. There are two options for how we should deal with them. First, we could try to stop their growth by destroying their bases in Syria and Iraq. Second, we could leave them alone and let them grow until they eventually become more powerful than us. Our leaders are currently debating over which option is best for us to choose. I think that we should not intervene because there is no evidence that intervening will make things better for us. It seems that if we allow them to continue their growth then they will eventually start attacking us because they are already sending their fighters to the US and Europe. Furthermore, we need to focus on rebuilding our economy and infrastructure instead of spending money on a war that will only make things worse for us. We need to focus on fixing things here before we try to fix things elsewhere. As long as we stick with option one, I believe that we have a good chance at defeating ISIS before they become too big of a threat to us. A second possible outcome of choosing option one is that they will stop trying to attack us because they know that we are strong enough to defeat them and that we will come after them if they do attack us again. This would be ideal because then we could go back to focusing on rebuilding our economy instead of worrying about fighting ISIS in another country. Overall, I think that option one is the best choice for us to make because it will save money and prevent casualties from happening on both sides of the conflict.
There are two main points being made in this article. The first point is about how we should deal with ISIS. The second point is about why we should choose option one instead of option two. Both of these points are supported with evidence and reasoning to prove why they are true. To create this type of article, fplow these steps:
