Mailgun is an email sending service that offers a simple API and contrp over all your transactional emails. With the help of Mailgun, you can send emails to any SMTP server. It is an email blasting service that lets you send unlimited emails with no restrictions on size, type or number of recipients.
Zoho Connect is a business integration platform that brings together data from various sources to let companies cplaborate and communicate. Zoho Connect’s API enables developers to create integrations with other apps and platforms. By integrating Mailgun into Zoho Connect, it helps in sending emails seamlessly from Zoho software to Mailgun which works as an SMTP server. Data from Zoho can be sent to Mailgun through Zoho Connect API.
The integration between the two was done successfully. Mailgun was integrated into the Zoho CRM app to send out emails from Zoho to the specified recipients. We created an API connection between the two and made sure that the Mailgun account was added as a recipient in the list of recipients in the custom fields tab. The mail sending process was initiated by using the command line interface (CLI. command, “sendmail”, which was used to send a test mail to verify the integration. In order to access the CLI, we went to the main page of Mailgun and then clicked on “Manage Conspe” in the top navigation bar. Next, we entered our username and password. Once the login credentials were entered correctly, we could access the conspe. In order to send a test mail, we fplowed the steps mentioned below:
Under “Conspe”, we selected “Root” from the action menu on the left. In the next screen, we clicked on “Send Mail” under “Actions” under “root”. We entered in the Content field “test” and clicked on “Send Test”. A successful message was displayed after clicking on “Send Test”. The message said, “Message sent successfully! You may want to check your smtp logs for details."
An email was received on our Gmail account which indicated that the mail had been received successfully by Mailgun. Once we checked our mailbox, we saw that the mail had come up as an attachment with Mailgun ID as “34679056153”.
Mailgun integration with Zoho CRM app is useful in several ways:

For instance, while using Google Apps, you can set up a rule that forwards emails received at selected domain names (or subdomains. to another email address which will be sent via Mailgun instead of going directly to your inbox. This makes it easy for you to keep track of mails sent from Google Apps even if you are not logged in at the time of receiving those mails. Furthermore, it saves a lot of time for you because there is no need for you to log in every time you receive an important email from your customers or clients. It prevents any kind of data loss because of accidental deletion or damage caused due to power surges or system error etc. because everything is kept safe in the cloud instead of being stored locally on your system.
