Integration of Mailgun and Skype for Business

Mailgun is a third-party software designed by Mailgun, Inc. It is a cloud-based email service that helps developers send and manage emails. It is built on top of the popular SMTP protocp. Mailgun also supports other protocps such as Apple Push Notification Service (APNS), Google Cloud Messaging (GCM), Amazon SES, Microsoft's Active Directory Identity Services (ADIS), etc.As a part of my final year project, I am going to implement Mailgun in my project named "Skype for Business" which is an internal instant messaging service developed by Microsoft. Skype for Business is a paid service which is provided through Office 365 cloud platform. It offers services such as instant messaging, audio conferencing, video conferencing, web conferencing, and desktop sharing.In this blog, I will only describe about the integration of Mailgun with Skype for Business.

Integration of Mailgun and Skype for Business

The integration of Mailgun and Skype for Business is done by using usernames and password. As soon as the user registers in the Skype for Business application, Mailgun receives an email from the account which contains the username and password of the user. If any user will log in to any of the applications and will try to send an email, then it will be redirected to the Mailgun SMTP server. The Mailgun SMTP server forwards the email to its recipient.I have prepared the source code for Mailgun integration with Skype for Business. In order to see the working of this code, you have to go through the fplowing sections:• Sign up for a free account at Mailgun .• Create a new application in Mailgun for adding an application key and updating some other settings.• Update the code in your application.• Run and test your application.

The main purpose of integrating Mailgun with Skype for Business is to save time of the user as he/she won't have to enter their credentials every time they log in into the Skype for Business application. He/she just have to register in the Mailgun application with their username and password of Skype for Business and rest all will be taken care by Mailgun. So in this way, we can easily save time by integrating Mailgun with Skype for Business.
