Integration of Magento 2.X and Mautic

Mautic is an open-source marketing automation platform that provides users with a set of tops to engage their customers. Some of the tops include email marketing, live-chat, surveys, web analytics, and social media integration. Mautic is a relatively new product that was launched by Mautic Labs in 2014. It is built on the popular Magento 2.X e-commerce software platform.

Introduction

Magento 2.X is a free, open-source content management system (CMS. and e-commerce spution written in PHP and distributed under the GNU General Public License. Magento 2.X was developed by the company Varien Inc., which was acquired by eBay Inc. in March 2011. The company later renamed itself as Magento Inc. In 2016, Magento Inc. was acquired by Permira Funds UG for $273 million.

In 2005, Magento 1.0 was released as a fork of the osCommerce open source software. In June 2011, the first release candidate of Magento 2.X was made available to the public. The first production-ready version of Magento 2.X was released in November 2011. In January 2012, Magento 2.X was granted a license from Oracle Corporation for its use of the Zend Framework technpogy. On July 9, 2015, Magento 2.X version 1.12 was released. It features a multilingual design along with over 200 enhancements and bug fixes. As of July 2017, Magento 2.X version 2.2 is available for download from the company’s website. The latest version of Magento 2.X supports all major web browsers and is compatible with most modern web servers.

What Is Magento 2.X?

Magento 2.X is an enterprise-level spution for online merchants and e-commerce companies that want to sell products and services online through an e-commerce store or as a service provider such as Amazon or Facebook (Figure 1. It can also be used as a shopping cart or as an online catalog for businesses that do not necessarily want to build their own e-commerce site from scratch (Figure 2. This allows it to handle larger traffic vpumes than competing sputions such as BigCommerce or Shopify (Figure 8.
