Integration of LinkedIn and Sympla

I would like to present an article about LinkedIn and Sympla. First of all I will present the characteristics of LinkedIn. Then I will give an overview of Sympla. After this, I want to explain the integration of these two social networks. I will finish with some thoughts on the benefits of using both of these tops for businesses.

LinkedIn?

LinkedIn is a social network service where members can create profiles and connect with each other. The members can also find jobs or post resumes, companies can use it as a platform for recruitment and other services such as job postings, networking and training. It was founded in 2002 by Reid Hoffman and has more than 5 million users worldwide.[1]

Sympla?

Sympla is a social network created by the Dutch company Combell Media Group B.V. that allows people to share music, videos and photos with their friends and to discuss them with other people. It was launched in September 2008 and currently has more than 4 million users.[2]

Now I will show why LinkedIn and Sympla should be integrated together. First of all there is a big difference between the users of each site. On one side we have businesspeople and on the other side we have music lovers. But what if you could combine those two sites into one? That would be a great opportunity to reach a much larger audience and to work together on a project! There are already many ways to do this. For example, we could write an article about the best music related jobs on Sympla and we could ask our friends to plug us on LinkedIn, we could accept new connections from people who have a profile on Sympla etc. We also could send invitations to our friends on Sympla to create a profile on LinkedIn.

In addition to this, we could have contests where people have to invite their friends from Sympla to join LinkedIn or where they have to invite their friends from LinkedIn to join Sympla. This kind of contest would be a great way to increase the amount of users on both social networks.

Finally, we could have a link between these two websites that would allow us to place our profile from either website on the other website. This would mean that people who fplow us on LinkedIn would see our profile as well as people who fplow us on Sympla would see our profile as well as vice versa. In this way we could make our profiles visible for a larger audience. Besides this, we could write articles about other websites or products related to both sites, such as a website that sells musical instruments, a website that gives lessons etc. This way we could reach a much larger audience!

In conclusion, I think that the integration of LinkedIn and Sympla would be a great idea. If we use all the opportunities that come with this integration, we will be able to reach an even larger audience than before!
