LinkedIn is an online professional networking top that was launched in May 2003. LinkedIn has about 400 million members in over 200 countries and territories. It is now the largest professional social network worldwide. The second largest online professional networking site is Xing, which, as of October 2012, has about 68 million registered members.
Keap is a directory of people, organizations, and companies. It was founded by Jakob Lodwick, Sam Altman, and Karim Faris (the CEO of Loopt. in 2010. It operates on the principles of being similar to Yelp but for people instead of businesses. It was originally created as a way to find people to hire or work with, but was eventually opened up to the public.
As of November 12th, 2012, LinkedIn announced it has acquired Keap for $118 million USD. Keap will be integrated into LinkedIn’s Jobs section. For businesses, Keap will have its own section on LinkedIn’s business pages. Of course, the current members of Keap will be able to continue using the service after the integration. Once the integration is complete, there are three different ways for users to find jobs through Keap on LinkedIn. The first option is for users to search for jobs through Keap directly. The second method is for users to view more relevant results by searching on the new job tab within their Jobs Inbox feature. The third option is for users to view relevant jobs through their Company Pages or Companies Directory.
With the integration of LinkedIn and Keap, LinkedIn will be able to see more relevant results through the Company Pages and Companies Directory. This will also let users more easily find jobs and recruiters find better candidates because they can use their LinkedIn profiles and connections to find good prospects for their companies. Also, the integration gives clients and people who need jobs a more convenient way to find each other and connect with each other. This integration will make it easier for recruiters and job seekers to find each other and connect with each other through LinkedIn. Having both LinkedIn and Keap together makes finding a job easier because recruiters can reach out to job seekers through their profile and can identify potential candidates through their connections with people they already know. The whpe process will become more efficient and easier for both recruiters and job seekers; this will in turn help businesses find better talent and hire the best people possible to work for them.
