Integration of Knack and WHMCS

Knack offers an excellent integration with WHMCS which makes it simple to login to WHMCS without having to remember yet another password. If you are already using 2FA (two factor authentication. then you need to go through a short process of registering a Knack in order to use this integration. You will have to register a Knack account in order to use this integration. To register a Knack account, you will have to provide your email address and a password. After that, you will have to enter a code in a text box in order to confirm your email address so that the Knack company can send you a verification code via SMS or voice call. Once you receive the code from Knack, enter it in the text box so that Knack can verify your email address. After that, Knack will send you a code via SMS or voice call which you will have to enter in a text box in order to complete the registration process. This step is important since it is a two step verification process i.e. SMS + voice call which makes sure that no one can access your account without your permission. This step is very helpful in case you lose your phone or forget your password since you can always contact Knack support and get a new security key sent over voice call or SMS. Also make sure that your number is attached to your account with your name and address so that they can verify if it is really coming from you when they call you up. Once you have registered a Knack account and verified it with the code sent via SMS/voice call, you can add this account as a Two Factor Authentication on WHMCS. To do this, go to WHMCS administration panel and click on Account > Account settings > Two-factor Authentication > Manage Two-Factor Authentication. You will see a list of all the 2FA accounts available on your WHMCS panel including Google Authenticator and now Knack. Simply add your Knack account and save changes on the page. Once this has been done, go to WHMCS administration panel and click on Billing > Billing settings > Payment Methods and click on Set up recurring payment method/credit card/Bank information/etc. and click on Next and fplow the steps displayed on the page and you will end up on a page where you will be asked to set up payment options for the new customer. Here, you will see a tick box next to “Enable 2-factor authentication” check this tick box and save changes. Now when the customer tries to purchase services from your website he/she will be required to enter his/her username and password along with his/her security key generated by Knack in order to make the payment. This means that there is no way that anyone can purchase anything from your website unless he/she knows both his/her username and password and the security key generated by Knack for him/her. This makes sure that your WHMCS account is safe from hackers and spammers because they cannot gain access to your account without this information.
