Google CloudPrint is a simple, fast and free printing service. It allows you to print from anywhere, to any printer, from a variety of devices. This technpogy enables users to access printers across the internet. Google CloudPrint makes it easy to print without worrying about complex connections or driver issues. You can use a web-based point and click interface to print from your computer or mobile device.

Knack is a “free cloud photo manager” that allows you to easily create albums, manage your photos, share them with friends and family, and share them on the web. Knack offers a number of different ways for users to connect with their photos including:

  • Mobile Apps – Knack offers free apps for iOS and Android devices.
  • The Web – Knack offers a web-based program that utilizes HTML5 technpogy to work on a wide range of browsers and platforms.
  • Apple TV – Knack works with the Apple TV allowing users to view their photos on a big screen TV.

The integration of Google CloudPrint with Knack allows users the ability to print directly from the web-based interface of Knack. Users can access their photos through the web interface of Knack, select the photo they want to print, hit the print button, and choose Google CloudPrint as their printer. Google CloudPrint then uploads the photo to the default printer on the user’s computer, which can be configured by clicking on “Preferences” under “Settings” on the Google CloudPrint website.

Integration of Knack and Google CloudPrint

Before using Google CloudPrint, users need to download it on their computer. They also need to sign up for an account with Google. Once they have the application installed on the computer, they need to configure it so it can connect to the printer they want to use. Users must first set up the printer in Windows 7 or Vista by adding it as a local printer. If they are using Mac OS X 10.4 or newer, they will need to go to System Preferences -> Print & Fax -> Select “Add Printer” -> Choose Google CloudPrint -> Choose the printer model. Once the printer has been set up, they need to configure the Google CloudPrint settings by going to http://www.google.com/cloudprint/learn/apps/configure.html . This will bring users into the Google CloudPrint configuration application where they need to enter their email address, password, and name of printer that was set up in Windows 7 or Vista or Mac OS X 10.4 or newer. Once complete, the user will be able to access Google CloudPrint from any browser. When creating an album in Knack, there is now an option for “Printing with Google CloudPrint”. Under this option, users will be able to select multiple photos at once and select where they want them printed. This allows users to easily print large quantities of photos at once without having to individually select each photo they want printed.
