Klaviyo is a marketing automation platform that helps ecommerce marketers get more customers and make more sales. Klaviyo integrates with MySQL database to track customers’ behavior. It is possible to track customers’ actions with Klaviyo such as fplowing on social media, subscribing to your newsletter, buying products, visiting certain pages, etc. Klaviyo can be used in conjunction with MySQL database to help you better understand your audience and improve your marketing strategy.
In order to integrate Klaviyo and MySQL database, you must first connect Klaviyo with the MySQL database. This is done via the Klaviyo menu. From there you can choose “Add New Integration” and select the “MySQL Database” option. After clicking the “Create Integration” button, you will be taken to the “New Integration” page. Click the “Add a new table” link and enter the full name of the table you want to add.
After adding the table, click the “Add a new field” link and enter the full name of the field that you want to add. Once both tables and fields have been added, you can then start tracking data.
To track data, navigate back to the “New Integration” page. Start by choosing which action you want to track. For this example we will be tracking subscribers from an email list. We will also need to add the email list email address to the “Email Address” field and then click on the “Add Field” button. If we want to track more than one email list, we can do so by clicking on the “Add Another Field” button. If we want to track more than one person who subscribed to our email list, we can do so by clicking on the “Add Another Field” button again. We can also assign values to these fields. For this example we will be tracking whether or not each person who subscribes will become a customer (i.e., bought something. after their initial sign up. To do this, we will click on the green box next to “Marketing Action” and then select “Customer” from the drop-down menu.
Once we have completed these steps, we can then go into Klaviyo and view our data. We will then be able to better understand our audience and improve our marketing strategy. The screenshot below shows how many people have subscribed to an email list and how many people have stayed customers after signing up for an email list.
