Members can participate in public groups or create private groups that can be accessed only by their members. These groups can also be for either a specific audience (called closed groups. or open to anyone (called open groups.
Facebook launched the integration of Klaviyo and Facebook Groups in October 2016, allowing users to promote their Facebook Groups on the Klaviyo dashboard. The integration allows group managers to measure their group's performance on Klaviyo's platform. Shortly after launch, Jim Tobin, the founder of SimpleCast said that the integration was "the best email marketing integration I've ever seen." In January 2017, CTAMommy named the integration as one of its "Top Tech Updates of 2016." However, shortly after launch, Google's John Mueller stated that he did not believe that it would be appropriate for marketers to use this integration in conjunction with the Google Display Network. Facebook responded by stating that it was aware of this issue and was working to respve it. Then in February 2017, Facebook introduced the ability to send email campaigns to groups from within the Facebook Ads Manager. Facebook has stated that it plans to introduce additional features within the coming months that will allow marketers to create their own Facebook ads using retargeting audiences that have been built through the integration with Klaviyo.
Integration with Klaviyo allows users to track the performance of their Facebook Groups on Klaviyo's platform. Once the integration has been set up, users will be able to see how their Group performs on Klaviyo's platform with features like:
Performance metrics such as total opens, unique opens, clickthrough rates and overall engagement rate. The ability to view information about individual subscribers such as total active subscribers, unique openers, total clicks and overall clickthough rate. To download subscriber details into a CSV file. To segment audiences based on subscriber data such as gender, age range, education level, geography and language. To add subscriber data into an existing audience or create a new audience based on existing subscriber data. The ability to export Group member data into a CSV file. The ability to download subscriber data into a spreadsheet-based top called Klaviyo Analytics. The ability to create visualizations of subscriber data such as graphs and charts.
The integration with Facebook Groups does not allow users to send messages to groups from within the Klaviyo interface. Instead, users must go into Facebook Ads Manager in order to send emails to specific groups.
