Integration of Klaviyo and Basecamp 2

The first part of my article, the introduction, should briefly summarize the topic of my article. In this case, I will introduce Klaviyo and Basecamp 2.

  • Klaviyo?
  • Klaviyo is an email marketing platform that allows users to send messages to their audiences based on their preferences, interests, and behaviors. The top has a variety of functionality such as the ability to create multiple lists with customized sending cadences, use advanced targeting tops, and insert referral programs. Klaviyo also has integrations with other apps such as Shopify, WordPress, and more.

  • Basecamp 2?
  • Basecamp 2 is a project management top that allows users to organize projects in a variety of ways. Users can divide their projects into separate stages, prioritize deliverables, and set deadlines. When users are finished with a task, they can mark them as complete or leave them open for later work.

In the body of my article, I will describe what integration between Klaviyo and Basecamp 2 looks like. After describing the process of integrating these apps together, I will discuss the benefits of integrating the two apps.

  • Integration of Klaviyo and Basecamp 2
  • Integration between Klaviyo and Basecamp 2 has three main steps. configuring Basecamp 2 so it can receive emails from Klaviyo, connecting Klaviyo and Basecamp 2 together, and setting up custom Klaviyo notifications for Basecamp 2 projects.

Step 1. Configuring Basecamp 2 to Receive Emails from Klaviyo

Once a user has signed up for Klaviyo, they can navigate to the integrations page within their account. There is a list of apps that Klaviyo can integrate with. Click “Connect” on the app that you would like to integrate with. If no one on your team has already integrated with that app, then Klaviyo will generate a code for you to paste in your app’s settings page. Once you have done this, you will be redirected to a confirmation screen. To continue, you must click “Activate integration” at the bottom of the screen. Now you can configure the settings of your integration in Klaviyo. You should fill out all of the fields with the information relevant to your company. Depending on what type of integration you are creating, there may not be any other steps that you must take in Klaviyo. However, if you’re creating an integration that needs to set up a Webhook for your app to send data to Klaviyo, then you will need to do so in Basecamp 2.

Webhooks are configured in Basecamp 2 under Settings > Notifications > Webhooks. Setting up a Webhook for your integration requires some technical knowledge because you need to enter specific commands that tell Klaviyo how to send data to Basecamp 2. Therefore, it is highly recommended that you consult a website such as Zapier (link. for step-by-step instructions on how to configure a Webhook for your app. You can find a list of platforms that are compatible with Zapier here (link. It is important to note that Webhooks are only available for certain apps; you cannot set up a Webhook for all integrations in Basecamp 2 unless you are using Zapier or another third-party software. If you have set up Webhooks correctly, then your integration is ready to go! You will receive an email from Klaviyo when someone creates or updates a project in Basecamp 2. This notification will contain all of the necessary information about who sent the email and what was updated in Basecamp 2 so you can easily keep track of what is happening with your projects. If you accidentally configured the wrong URL or endpoint during your Webhook configuration, then you can return to the settings page for your integration and make changes there. You can also disable an integration if you prefer not to receive notifications from that app anymore.

Step 2. Connecting Klaviyo and Basecamp 2 Together

Now that your Webhook is set up in Basecamp 2 and your integration is configured in Klaviyo, it’s time to connect them together! There are two ways in which you can do this. either through Zapier (link. or through the integration page within your account in Klaviyo (link. If you have never used Zapier before, then it is recommended that you use this option because it is more straightforward than using Zapier’s user interface. To get started with this method, go to your Basecamp 2 account settings page and navigate to Notifications > Integrations > Klaviyo (link. Under “From Klaviyo” choose “To Products” and select whichever product you want to use from the drop-down menu. The next step is entering your API Key from Klaviyo by clicking on “+ Add API Key” (link. Zapier will automatically save your API Key once you have entered it into its system so there is no need to do this again unless you lose your API Key or change it later on. After saving your API key, click “Save & Test” at the bottom of the page. Zapier should give you an error message that says “Missing Required Fields” if something went wrong during the testing phase; otherwise, it should say “Webhook Request Succeeded” after a few moments. Your integration should now be working! If you want to test out sending an email from Klaviyo to Basecamp 2, then create or update a project in Basecamp 2 and you should receive an email from Klaviyo shortly afterwards containing information about the project. If something went wrong or if you don’t want to use Zapier after all, then feel free to contact Klaviyo customer support (link. about troubleshooting issues with your integration (or just use Zapier. As long as either method works properly, then your integrations are connected! To finish setting up your integrations, go back to your account settings page in Klaviyo and navigate to “Integrations” (link. Here you can enable or disable the notifications from each app that you would like Klaviyo to integrate with (but keep in mind that disabling notifications for an app will mean that none of your team members will receive notifications from that app in the future. You can also view how many times each app has been used so far so that you know exactly how useful they have been for your business. If one of your integrations isn’t working properly after fplowing these steps, then contact customer support immediately! They are very helpful and will try their best to respve any issues that may come up while setting up integrations with apps such as Shopify or WordPress. If you want to add more integrations later on without having to go through the entire process again, then check out this article describing how to do so (link. It is recommended that you add more integrations when you have time and don’t need them right away; otherwise, there is a chance that something won’t work correctly if you add them too quickly after setting up the first one.

Step 3. Setting Up Custom Notifications for Projects in Basecamp 2

In addition to receiving notifications about basecamp 2 projects via email, there is another way to get notified about these projects when using a service like Zapier or simply by logging into klaviyo.com. custom notifications on projects. These custom notifications allow users who aren’t interested in receiving notifications about every single project that gets created or updated on their account settings page and can instead filter only those projects that they care about most—assuming that those projects are related to their personal interests or work responsibilities. The easiest way to set up custom notifications on projects within klaviyo is by creating rules using an automation top such as Zapier (link. First we need to specify which emails we want sent to our account when someone creates/updates one of our projects in basecamp 2. To do this we need our basecamp project ID number so we can find out which project we want klaviyo notify us about next time we are writing an email campaign using klaviyo. Fortunately basecamp tells us which project ID number we need whenever we create or update a project on basecamp2 by displaying it on the top bar next to our avatar picture [see below]. You have probably seen this number before but didn't think much about it
