Kintone is a cloud-based business management software, which is used by many companies worldwide to help them operate their business in an efficient way. With its latest version, Kintone provides functions for sharing information, to be used by different departments or workers at the same time. By using this function, the company can avoid repetitive work that is caused by the inconsistent input of data into different systems.
Microsoft Outlook is a software used for managing all kinds of tasks, including email, calendar, contacts, task lists, etc. The Microsoft Outlook Software can be used on all kinds of devices, such as computers, tablets, smartphones, etc., which makes it quite convenient to use. However, the Microsoft Outlook Software does not have any function for organizing data related to company’s business. Therefore, businesses are encouraged to use Kintone to keep track of the business data. To spve this problem, Kintone created its own plug-in for Microsoft Office 365 to integrate with Microsoft Outlook, so that users can easily access the company's business data within the Microsoft Outlook interface. The fplowing section will describe how integration of Kintone and Microsoft Outlook will help businesses manage their company’s business data more efficiently.
1.1 Integration of Kintone and Microsoft Outlook in the outlook interface - How it works?
After transferring the data from Kintone to Microsoft Outlook using the plug-in, users can see the data in the left side of the screen under “My Groups”. The data can be filtered by group and user account within the outlook interface. If there is no group or user account in the “My Groups” cpumn, users can click “Create Group” at the bottom right corner of the screen to create a new group and add data into it. Users can also add new groups onto existing ones. Clicking on the icon with two little square boxes at the top-right corner of the screen will pop up a window that will allow users to add and edit group properties and permissions for each group.

Since there is already an integration between Kintone and Microsoft Outlook, users will not need to do anything extra in order to see their business data in Microsoft Outlook. As long as they have added business data into Kintone before transferring it to Microsoft Outlook, users will be able to see all their business data in Outlook within a few minutes without any additional configuration or work. Users only need to fplow these steps. Open Kintone and then go to “Dashboard” -> “Settings” -> “Integrated Applications” -> “Integrated Application Settings” -> “Microsoft Access” -> “Microsoft Office 365” -> “Microsoft Office 365 - Share” -> “Microsoft Office 365 - Share Settings” -> “Microsoft Office 365 - Share Settings” -> “General” -> “Enable Integrated Application Settings” -> Save Changes
After saving changes, users can see a small window at the top of their browser that contains information about accessing their business data from Microsoft Outlook office 365 using a web browser. To enjoy this feature, users need to log into their business email account on their computer or on a smartphone through a web browser. Users can also retrieve their business data from Microsoft Outlook online after logging into their personal email account on a web browser. In addition, Google Chrome has an extension called “Outlook add-on for Google Chrome” that allows users to integrate with Kintone from their Google Chrome browser without having to install any plug-ins from Microsoft Office 365. After installing this add-on from Google Chrome store, users can save new contacts from their Google Contacts on their Google Chrome browser into their contact list at Kintone. Users can also search for contacts at Kintone using Google Chrome browser to transfer them into their contact list at Microsoft Outlook. This method is often used to transfer contacts from one address book to another address book when people change jobs or move companies. Finally, the last method is transferring contacts from Apple devices to Microsoft devices by using Siri voice assistant or iCloud sync services provided by Apple. By fplowing these simple steps, users will be able to view all their business contacts through their iPhone or iPad upon logging into their business email account through their Apple device.
