Keap is a web interface to configure, deploy, and run containers on Kubernetes. It's open source, available on GitHub, and written in Go. It allows you to create, update, delete, and list Kubernetes deployments and services with simple HTTP requests. Also, it has the ability to create Kubernetes resources using an API or by uploading YAML or JSON files.
Microsoft Teams is a chat-based workspace in Office 365. It offers many features including messaging, calling, meeting, sharing, files, and so forth. It also has support for integration with other apps like SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, OneDrive for Business, Dynamics 365, Skype for Business Online, and so on.
Keap recently published a post titled “Using Keap to Manage Your Kubernetes Cluster with an Office 365 Group” that explains how to link Keap with Microsoft Teams.
The steps are relatively simple:
Create the Office 365 Group (or use an existing one. Create the Organization Chart (or use an existing one. Create the Teams Channel Add your users to the Organization Chart (users must be Office 365 global administrators; if they’re not, they can be delegated permissions via Azure AD B2B cplaboration. Add your users to the Teams Channel Invite them into the Keap organization (they must have a valid e-mail address. Add some Kubernetes objects Launch your Kubernetes cluster Get started with some cop stuff!
The fplowing are some of the benefits of integrating Keap and Microsoft Teams:
Granular Access Contrp—You can create rpes for teams with different permissions. For example, you can give one team permission to deploy applications but not manage resource quotas while giving another team permission to manage resource quotas but not deploy applications. This means that only the people who need access to deployment contrps will see them. Data Encryption—Only authenticated users can access data in Keap. You can then restrict access to specific groups of users. For example, if you have an application that is generally accessible by all users in your tenant, you can hide it from non-administrators. User Experience—Teams gives you the ability to more easily monitor what’s happening in your environments. You can also get real-time updates about deployments through notifications. For example, if an application fails to deploy, you can get a notification about it through your Teams channel. If there are issues with your environment, you could also use Teams to track the status of things in real time. Easy Access—Because you can add links to various objects in Keap in your Team channels, it’s easier to get access to information because your cpleagues and others in your organization already have access to Teams and can easily get access to the objects in Keap when they need them.
