    Paymo is an online project management top that helps to manage the workflows of software development projects. It allows you to create kanban boards with your team or an entire company. You can easily manage your product backlog, sprints, tasks, issues, sprints, stories and other information related to your software development project.

  • Kanban Top is a great top to help you manage your projects in an efficient way. Kanban boards are widely used by software development teams to organize their work. Kanban boards are visual representations of the workflow. They are created by starting with the top left corner and adding each card as it is needed. As each card is added to the board it gets moved down the board until it is completed. At any time you can review all of your cards on one page.

    There are many different ways to set up your kanban board depending on the size of your team or organization. You can create a separate board for each project, or you can create a board for each department within your organization. Some teams will have multiple boards running at once for different projects. A new feature in kanban Top is the ability to add a library of templates/templates & share them with others. This is a great way to save a new type of board that you will be using for a project that you will be repeating again in the future.

    In order to get started with kanban Top all you need to do is sign up for a free account at https://kanbantop.com. Once you have signed up you can log in to get started with your first board! In the fplowing example we will be creating a kanban board for each product using kanban Top.

    First we will create a new board named 'Product A' by going to 'new board' from the home screen. Give a title and a description for your board and select the template that applies best to your situation by selecting it from the drop down menu that appears when clicking on 'create new board'. In this example we have selected the 'Product Backlog'. Now click on 'create new board' at the bottom of the screen. Now add cards to your board by clicking on add new card on the upper right side of the screen. In this example we will add our backlog items for product A by entering them into the fields that appear when clicking on add new card. You can choose which fields you would like to add to your cards and customize them however you would like (the field names will vary depending on how you setup your kanban board.

    Once we have finished adding all of our backlog items we can move on to creating our next board for product B. This time we will select the 'Sprint Backlog' template from the list of available templates and click on 'create new board'. Then we can add cards to our sprint backlog for product B in the same way we did for product A.

    Now that we have our two boards setup we want to be able to see how they relate to each other and what needs to be done next in order to complete our project. To do this we need to integrate Paymo and kanban Top in order to get access to our task management without leaving kanban Top and access our kanban boards without leaving Paymo. To do this we need to add a widget from kanban Top in Paymo so we can see when our work has been moved from one stage in our project to another such as when it has been moved from our sprint backlog in kanban Top to our sprint in Paymo. The widget I will be using here is called "kanban card" which shows us what position an item has been moved into.

    To add widgets in Paymo go to 'Dashboard' > 'Widgets'. From here you can search for widgets or browse through them by choosing categories or tags. Find the widget that you would like to add by searching for it or browsing for it then click on it when it appears in the search results or when viewing widgets sorted by category or tag. Then click on 'add widget'. If you are adding more than one widget then repeat these steps until you have added all of them that you want to add.

    Now that you have added all of your widgets it's time to place them on your dashboard so you can view them. Click on beside 'dashboard' at the top of your screen then click on 'customize dashboard' > 'edit dashboard'. From here click on each widget that you want to move around, hover over it then click on the circle icon that appears in the lower right corner of the widget then drag it where you would like it displayed on your screen. Then click 'done' at the bottom right hand side of the screen when you are finished moving widgets around on your screen. Below is an example of what my dashboard looks like after adding widgets (I added three widgets. and moving them around on my screen.

    Now that we have added widgets in Paymo let's go back over to kanban Top and add widgets there too. To do this go back over to 'my boards' then choose the board you would like to add widgets too (in this example I am adding widgets to Product A. Then click on 'add widget' below 'Add Cards'. Then find the widget that you would like to add (I will be adding my widget named 'kanban Card'. Click on it then click on 'add widget' at the bottom right hand side of your screen when it appears above 'Add Cards'. Now you should see widgets added directly below 'Add Cards'. Repeat these steps until you have added all of your widgets for this board in kanban Top. Below is an example of what my kanban Board for product A looks like after adding widgets (I added two widgets.

    Now that we have integrated Paymo and kanban Top let's take a look at how they work together! After adding cards into our sprint backlogs in kanban Top we know that they start off in product A's sprint backlog which gives us a visual indication that they still need work before being considered complete. These cards then get moved into product B's sprint backlog giving us another visual indication that they still need more work before being considered complete. Once they have been completed they get moved into product B's sprint which provides yet another visual indication that they are finished and ready for us to move onto the next item in our backlogs or start working on something else if there isn't anything left in our backlogs for these products. Then once all of these products have been completed they get moved into a completed sprint which provides us with a visual indication that everything is done and ready for shipping! So now we have a visual representation of what needs to be done next as well as a better understanding of what has been done, what needs work and what is complete! Kanban tops integration with Paymo also provides us with a central location where we can review all of our boards without having to switch between multiple applications!
