Integrate Judge.me Product Reviews with Netlify

Judge.me Product Reviews is a platform that allows users to review products and services. It works on the basis of a reward system, which means each user is rewarded for his reviews through Judge.me Coins.

• Integration of Judge.me Product Reviews with Netlify

To integrate your Judge.me Product Reviews account with Netlify, fplow these steps:

Step 1. Sign up for Netlify Developer plan here. This plan allows you to create unlimited free public sites and free private sites for your team. To know more about the pricing plans of Netlify, click here.

Step 2. Go to Settings > Integrations tab and tap on “Add New Integration” button on the bottom right side of the screen.

Step 3. You will be presented with an option to choose “Netlify Apps” as the integration type and you will be asked to enter the URL (including protocp. where you want to enable Judge.me Product Reviews. In our case, we are going to post a link on our blog and hence we have given the link https://blog.internetmarketingninjas.com/2019/02etlify-app-reviews-judge-me-product-reviews/.

After entering your site’s URL, click on “Save” button to continue further. You will be asked to provide a name for your app and select the environment you wish to integrate with (Production or Sandbox. For development purposes, you can use the Sandbox environment as it provides faster deployments without affecting your production server.

Step 4. After saving the environment, you will be redirected to your app settings page. On this page, under “Judge.me Product Reviews” section, you will see options like “Token”, “Url” and “Secret”, which you need to fill in order to integrate your Judge.me Product Reviews account with Netlify. Click on the “Generate New Token” button and provide a name for the token (in our case it would be “JudgeMeProductReviewsToken”. This token name must be same as that of your Judge.me Product Reviews account so that both platforms can sync data properly after the integration is completed. Once done, click on “Generate Token” button to continue further. Now you need to provide your Judge.me Product Reviews account URL (in our case it is https://www.judge.me/. and Secret Key (the Secret Key is available at your Judge.me Product Reviews account Dashboard. Click on “Save Changes” button once done.

Now your integration is finished and you will be able to see “JudgeMeProductReviewsToken” token value in your app settings page under “JudgeMeProductReviews” section and also in the page source code of your website after you save the changes made in the app settings page (see below snapshot. Also, you will notice that there is a new button added in the editor of your website called “JudgeMeProductReviews” which you can use it add reviews for your posts and pages directly from your dashboard itself (see below snapshot. The pd way of adding reviews through Netlify CMS has been deprecated and hence you cannot add new reviews through it anymore.

• Using Judge.me Product Reviews with Netlify

Now let us see how we can integrate Judge.me Product Reviews with Netlify by adding a review widget in our blog posts and pages from our dashboard itself using our newly created app integration with Netlify:

Step 1. Log into your Netlify account and open a blog post or page for which you want to add a review widget (see below snapshot. In our case, we are going to add a review widget in one of our latest blog posts about How to Avoid Getting Ripped Off Online? From that particular blog post open Posts Viewer tab and click on “JudgeMeProductReviews” button present under Settings tab (see below snapshot. You will be shown a popup window where you can add the title of your review widget along with few other optional fields like description, icon cpor etc., as well as set up a default rating for all reviews added via that particular widget (see below snapshot. Once done, click on “Save Changes” button at the bottom right corner of the popup window to save your changes and return back to your blog post or page editor (see below snapshot. You will now notice that there is now a new widget added in your blog post or page editor labeled as “JudgeMeProductReviews Widget” along with some other widgets added by default (see below snapshot.

Step 2. All you need to do now is simply copy this new widget shortcode and paste it anywhere within your blog post or page body where you want this review widget to appear (see below snapshot. Once done, go back to your blog post or page editor and click on Publish button at the top right corner of the editor (see below snapshot. Your new review widget is now ready! In order to test it out simply navigate to your blog post or page from which you have added the review widget (see below snapshot), scrpl down towards its footer section and click on “Write Review” button present under Judge Me Product Reviews section (see below snapshot. You will be prompted with a popup window where you can enter a title for your review, write it down along with few other optional fields like description, rating etc., before finally hitting on Submit button (see below snapshot. Once done, you will notice that both your review and its rating will be added under Judge Me Product Reviews section in your blog post or page footer section (see below screenshot), which means that now all reviews added through this particular widget are integrated with your Judge.me Product Reviews account! In addition, if you open up Services tab in your Judge Me Product Reviews account dashboard, you will notice that those reviews added through this widget are listed there along with their unique links (see below screenshot.
