In this article, we are going to discuss how Instagram and Zoho Books integrate with each other. Instagram is a photo sharing app and Zoho Books is a cloud accounting software.
Integration of Instagram and Zoho Books can be done via an app called Zapier. This integration helps businesses add or import data from Instagram into Zoho books.
Here are the steps to integrate your Instagram account with Zoho Books.
Step 1. Download the Zapier app on your phone, if you haven’t already done so.
Step 2. Open the App and click “New Zap” button.
Step 3. On the next page, select a trigger app and a trigger event. For example, you can choose Instagram as your trigger app and “A new photo post” as your trigger event. Then click on “Continue” at bottom right corner.
Step 4. Now open your Instagram app and create a new post by clicking the camera icon in the top right corner, enter the details and click on your profile picture (the one which shows up beside your username/user id. in the top center of the screen, then go to “Settings”, scrpl down to find “Facebook Page Link” option, enable it and enter your Zoho Books Facebook page url in this field afterwards. Do not forget to save your changes before posting.
After that, you will see a blue bar on top of your Instagram screen with a button saying “Share to Facebook”. Click on it and voila, you have just connected your Instagram account with Zoho Books.
Note. If you don’t want to share posts from your personal account to your Facebook page, then simply disable the Facebook Page Link option and create a new Facebook fan page for your business instead of using your personal account. The way I’ve shown you above works for accounts using Instagram without a Facebook fan page.
Another thing you must learn about Instagram is that it has two types of posts. Photo Post and Story Post. Photo Post is like a normal post on Instagram while Story Post works like a photo album featured on your profile page on Instagram. These two types of posts have different ways to save them in Zoho Books; hence, I will show you how to connect them separately.
Photo Post. After posting a photo on Instagram, click on the blue button which says “Share to Facebook” and then go to your Zoho Account > Settings > Connections > LinkedIn > Save Photo Post .
Story Post. This one is little tricky because Story Posts do not have a “Share to Facebook” button to click on after posting; instead, they have a small arrow icon positioned beside the comment section where you can add a text or video comment. If you click on that arrow icon, you should be able to log into your Facebook account and then click on any link to open it in another tab or window; that link could be your Zoho Books website or any other web page you want to include.
The last step is to exclude these new Instagram posts from being imported into Zoho Books by default when you create an Invoice or enter an Expense Receipt in Zoho Books since these posts may contain private information about some of your friends or clients that you might not want others to know. You can do this by going to Invoices > Settings > Settings for Invoices > Filters > Set Custom Filter .
