Integration of Instagram and Pingdom

Instagram?

In recent times, the use of social media has been on the rise. Some of the most famous social media networks have been Facebook and Twitter. While both of these social media platforms are very popular, there is a third social media that can be used to connect with others on a personal level. This third social media is known as Instagram. Unlike Facebook and Twitter, Instagram does not allow users to post status updates or to write comments on other people’s posts. Instead, Instagram allows users to post photographs that are taken by a smartphone or a digital camera.

Instagram was developed by Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger. These two men worked for Facebook before they started working on Instagram. They worked at Facebook for about six years before they decided to leave the company. The reason that they left Facebook was because they were not happy with the decisions that were being made in relation to how the company was changing. After leaving Facebook, they decided to launch their own start-up company known as Burbn. Burbn allowed people to create websites so that they could share photos with the rest of the world. They were not able to make Burbn successful so they decided to shut down the website and start working on a different idea.

They decided to focus their attention on mobile apps. At this time, mobile applications had become very popular because of the advanced smartphones that were being manufactured every day. The first app that they created was known as Oggl. However, Oggl did not get a lot of downloads so it was soon forgotten about. The next app that they created was known as Bump. Bump allowed people to send photos and videos to each other by simply bumping phones together. They found some investors for their new app and moved from San Francisco into an office in Palo Alto. Unfortunately, Bump was not a success either and it was soon ignored by consumers.

After the failure of Bump, Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger decided to move to San Francisco because they wanted to work on a project with Peter Deng who used to work at Facebook as well. It was during this time that Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger decided to create Instagram. Kevin Systrom came up with the name Instagram while he was brainstorming one morning after having a coffee with his friends. He wanted something short but interesting when it came to naming the company which is why he chose the word “Instagram” because he liked how it sounded when you said it out loud.

The first version of Instagram was launched in October 2010 and it came out on Apple’s App Store in early December 2010. It immediately became a hit with consumers because it was one of the first social media platforms that allowed people to share photographs as well as edit them using filters before posting them online. Today, Instagram has over 300 million active users worldwide and it has been spd for one billion dplars to Facebook in April 2012. The main reason that Facebook wanted to buy Instagram was so that it could put ads inside of Instagram’s application just like it does with its other services such as Facebook and WhatsApp Messenger.
