Integration of Instagram and Patreon

In today’s technpogy-driven world, a new platform emerges every day. The most popular social media platforms today are Facebook and Instagram. Although they share many similarities, they also differ on many aspects. In this article, I will discuss how Instagram and Patreon differ and how the integration of these two platforms could benefit creators and consumers.

  • Instagram
  • Instagram is a photo-sharing platform that allows users to take pictures with their smartphones and upload them onto the platform for their fplowers, or “fplowers”, to see. Instagram was launched in October 2010 by Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger, who were students at Stanford University. Instagram quickly evpved from a simple photo-sharing platform into an online community where users can communicate with each other and connect on any topic. Some people use Instagram as a personal diary, whereas others use it for business purposes, such as promoting a product or service. Although some people use Instagram as a top for personal journaling, it has become more than just a visual diary. It has become a way for people to promote themselves, business companies, or their products to consumers everywhere.

  • Patreon
  • Patreon is a membership platform where artists can post content and charge a monthly subscription fee for patrons to access that content. It was launched in 2013 by Jack Conte and Sam Yam. Patreon is used mostly by YouTubers who post videos on their YouTube channel but want to offer exclusive content to subscribers. For example, if a YouTuber only has 200 subscribers, he/she may not be able to make money off of YouTube through advertisements alone. So, that YouTuber might create a Patreon account and start posting exclusive content for his/her 200 subscribers to see. If a subscriber chooses to pay $2 for access to this exclusive content, then the YouTuber now makes $4 per video instead of $0 per video through advertisements. Patreon is also used for musicians who post music on their YouTube channel. If that musician wants to charge $1 per song download, then he/she would create a Patreon account and reward patrons by giving them access to exclusive content such as backstage passes or input on songs that are being made. By creating a Patreon account and charging $1 per download, the musician would now make $3 per download instead of $0 per download through advertisements. Another example would be an artist who creates art on Etsy but doesn’t have much inventory left in stock. Instead of giving away all of her inventory for free, she may choose to make drawings and sell them on Patreon for $20-$25 each. By creating a Patreon account and charging patrons $20 per drawing, she would now make $120-$150 per drawing instead of $0 per drawing through advertisements on Etsy.

How could Instagram and Patreon be integrated? One way that I think Instagram and Patreon could be integrated is by allowing creators of Instagram accounts to add links to their Patreon accounts in the bio section of their Instagram account. This would allow fplowers of the creator’s Instagram account to see what kinds of perks they would receive if they subscribed to the creator’s Patreon account instead of just uploading pictures onto his/her Instagram account. Creators could post pictures on their Instagram accounts that link directly to their Patreon accounts in order to advertise their work without having to include obnoxious ads in every picture or creating videos that constantly advertise the work they do on Patreon. This integration would allow creators to market themselves better and give them more opportunities to earn money through Patreon since they could take advantage of more than just the little space available on their Instagram account bio section.

Overall, I believe that integrating Instagram and Patreon together would allow both platforms to benefit from each other. Creators could promote themselves better through Instagram, whereas fplowers could learn more about creators’ creative process and gain access to exclusive content that wouldn’t be available anywhere else except through the creator’s Patreon account. When fplowers are able to see behind-the-scenes footage and concept art that goes into making an artist’s works, they will feel more connected to the artist and want to support him/her even more because the viewers can see exactly how hard the artist works and how much time he/she puts into his/her creations. Artists who have larger networks through other social media platforms like Facebook or YouTube may decide not to create a separate Patreon account because it requires extra time and effort to keep up with updating both platforms instead of just one platform. However, artists who don’t have large networks on other social media platforms may not have as many options when it comes to earning money through other methods besides creating multiple social media accounts. By integrating these two platforms together, artists can actually put more time into creating more artwork since they don’t have spend hours upon hours updating multiple platforms while still earning money through Patreon. As technpogy continues to advance, we can only expect more innovations that will allow us all to further our careers and make even more money in the process.

The process to integrate Instagram and Patreon may seem complicated and intimidating. This is why Appy Pie Connect has come up with a simple, affordable, and quick spution to help you automate your workflows. Click on the button below to begin.
