Integration of Instagram and Amazon DynamoDB

Instagram is a photo-sharing social networking service that enables its users to take pictures, apply digital filters to them and share them on a variety of social networking services such as Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr. It was created by Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger, and launched in October 2010 exclusively on iOS. Instagram has grown to support the Android operating system, Nokia’s Symbian platform, Windows Phone, Google Glass and webOS. In April 2012, it was acquired by Facebook for $1 billion in cash and stock.[1] On April 3, 2013, Instagram was released for Windows Phone 8. On November 20, 2013, Instagram Beta for Android 4.0+ joined the beta version for Apple iOS. The current version of the application is 8.3 and was released on March 24, 2014. As of December 2013, 25 billion photos had been uploaded to Instagram.[2]

Amazon DynamoDB is a distributed NoSQL database service offered by Amazon Web Services (AWS. It is a fully managed cloud database and supports data items called “items” which can be any arbitrary JSON data type. Each item has unique key like a hash key, range key or a sort key which provides high speed and scalable performance for both reads and writes. It also provides features like Global Secondary Indexes which allows you to create indexes across multiple tables. You can use these indexes to query items from multiple tables with a single query.

Integration of Instagram and Amazon DynamoDB is beneficial to both Instagram and Amazon. In this section I will explain the integration between these two services using three advantages of integration of Instagram and Amazon DynamoDB.

The first advantage of integration of Instagram and Amazon DynamoDB is higher user engagement. Instagram allows users to connect with millions of other users and businesses on various social media platforms. When someone likes or comments on your photo or video, that person is notified immediately through inbox message. When someone fplows your account, you are notified immediately through inbox message. So if a user likes or comments on your photo or video or visits your profile they are able to communicate with you instantly. When you fplow someone’s profile you get notifications when that person takes a photo or video or posts a status update or shares one of their photos or videos with their friends or fplowers. If your business is looking to engage with customers then it makes sense to put your brand out there on Instagram.

The second advantage of integration of Instagram and Amazon DynamoDB is higher brand awareness and customer engagement. When a user sees your company name in their inbox they are more likely to visit your profile on Instagram and learn more about your business including what products you have to offer, what your mission is and so much more. Just having an account on Instagram doesn’t mean people are going to find you though and it certainly doesn’t mean that they will fplow you either. You need to provide them with a reason why they should fplow you too by providing them with relevant information about your company or brand.

The third advantage of integration of Instagram and Amazon DynamoDB is higher sales conversion rate. Since the messages are sent directly to the person’s inbox on social network platforms they are more likely to pay attention to them than if the messages were sent to their cell phone via text message or email. You can also send the same message to multiple people at once on social networks since it isn’t tied to a specific phone number or email address so you can get more bang for your buck in terms of your marketing spend if you want to reach hundreds of thousands of people all at once instead of sending out individual messages to each one individually on different channels like email or text messaging.

Overall, integration of Instagram and Amazon DynamoDB creates higher user engagement, brand awareness and sales conversion rate respectively that ultimately leads to higher ROI over time for companies interested in leveraging it as part of their digital marketing strategy.
