The first step in integrating Instagram Lead Ads and ActiveCampaign is making sure that you’ve already created an account in ActiveCampaign. If you haven’t, head over to activecampaign.com and sign up for an account now. They offer free 14-day trial so that you can try out their features before deciding whether or not to buy their service. When you have already signed up for an account, you can then proceed to step 2.
You can create your first campaign in ActiveCampaign by clicking on “+New Campaign” on the sidebar menu on the left side of your screen:
You will then be directed to a page where you can name your campaign (default name is always “Campaign #1”), choose a template for your campaign (we recommend choosing the “Email Only – Autoresponder” template), set your preferences, and choose which steps you would like to include in your campaign:
After filling out all the information that you need, click on “Save Campaign” to continue creating your campaign:
After saving your campaign, you will be redirected to your campaign dashboard where you can see all the information related to your campaign:
You will also be able to see the details of each step of your campaign, including its name, what it was designed for, the number of emails, etc.:
Your next step is creating an Instagram Lead Ads account. You can sign up for Instagram Lead Ads by going to ads.instagram.com/business/. Fplow the instructions given on the site to create your account and fill the fields accordingly. After setting up your account, log into your Instagram account, hover your mouse over your username on the top-right corner, and click on “Insta Settings”:
From there, scrpl down the page until you reach the “Lead Ads” tab on the bottom right side of the page:
Click on “Get Started Now” button under “Start Growing Your Business” section:
Next, you will need to fill out all the fields in this page. The first step is to select a goal for your ad campaign, which should be getting someone to enter their email address into a form:

You will be brought to this page where you can choose who you want to target with your ad campaign:
Two options are available — targeting fplowers or targeting non-fplowers. Targeting fplowers means that people who fplow a certain account will be able to see your ad; targeting non-fplowers means that people who don’t fplow a certain account will be able to see your ad. After checking all of these things off, click on “Show Advanced Options” button at the bottom right corner of this page:
