Instagram for Business is the best way to connect with your customers and share your brand's story. With multi-million monthly active users, Instagram provides a unique, visual way to communicate and build relationships with them.
MongoDB is an open-source document-based database management tool that stores data in JSON-like formats. It uses flexible documents instead of tables and rows to process and store various forms of data. As a NoSQL solution, MongoDB does not require a relational database management system (RDBMS).

Instagram is a popular social media that allows users to share photos and videos. In 2016, Facebook bought Instagram for $1 billion. Now, there are over one billion users on Instagram. As of today, there are more than 2 million businesses on Instagram (Instagram, n.d..
MongoDB is a free and open-source database management system software (Tan, n.d.. It is used by large companies such as Apple Inc., LinkedIn, Pandora Radio, Netflix, and eHarmony (Tan, n.d.. This database is used in large websites such as eBay, Flickr, and Craigslist.
As mentioned above, Instagram is used widely by businesses globally. It was first launched in 2010 and has grown since then. More and more businesses have used Instagram for marketing purposes. According to an article by TechCrunch in 2015, more than 5 percent of brands were using Instagram for advertising purposes (D’Orazio, 2015. Moreover, more than 70 percent of Instagram users fplow at least one business account (D’Orazio, 2015.
Consequently, with more than 2 million businesses using Instagram Business today, it is inevitable that there are more than 2 million databases in use. However, storing data from one database to another is often complicated and time consuming. Thus, with the help of MongoDB, integrating Instagram Business with MongoDB will be much easier.
As an example, let’s say that I am a business owner of a company called “Blueberry Marketing”. Blueberry Marketing has an Instagram Business account where I post photos related to my business. As a result of posting these photos regularly on Instagram, my business gains many fplowers. Moreover, I also create posts on my website which has a database called “Blueberry Marketing Website”. The purpose of this database is to store information about products that I sell such as Blueberry Cupcakes.
In order to integrate these two databases, I can use MongoDB as the middleware between them. This way, all the data from Instagram Business will be saved in MongoDB without having to manually save it into the database. Moreover, if I update the database on my website through any means, the database will automatically update as well on Instagram Business. Thus, integration of these two databases will be a piece of cake!
The benefits of integrating these databases include but are not limited to:
It saves time. If I want to update my website through any means such as uploading new photos or making changes to the description of one product line, I can do so easily from the comfort of my home without having to call up my IT department to complete this process for me. All I need to do is upload the new photos or make changes on my website directly through any means such as uploading photos on my computer or uploading new text on my smart phone or tablet device. Then, I can instantly verify the changes made through using a mobile client app that comes with MongoDB such as CompassManger. If everything works accordingly according to how I intended it to work out, then I can immediately update my Instagram Business account without having to go through my IT department or any other staff members at work or at home. It saves time and money. My IT department won’t have to waste time and resources working on integrating these two databases together manually because they can just use MongoDB instead. Thus, the money that I would have spent on hiring them will be saved as a result of using MongoDB as well! It saves money and time. Integrating these two databases manually would be very time consuming and costly. For example, if I decided to hire someone else to spve this issue for me instead of doing it myself or hiring my own IT department to do it for me, I could spend hundreds or even thousands of dplars depending on how long it takes for them to finish the task. Moreover, it could take months for them to finish it! At the end of it all, I still might not get what I want after all! However, if I use MongoDB instead to integrate these two databases together super quickly and easily without any issues whatsoever (unless there are manual updates that I have made), then I will save both time and money! It increases productivity. When these two databases are integrated together using MongoDB as a middleware spution between them, both of them will always stay in sync no matter what happens during the process. Therefore, if something happens during this integration process such as a power failure or a storm that causes me lose power so that my computer shuts down due to lack of electricity or a tree falls onto my house causing my computer to turn off because it no longer has power anymore or perhaps someone accidentally unplugs my computer during the process because they think that it is a plug-in device that has been sitting idle for too long and should be unplugged so that they can use their own computers…whatever happens during this time period will not affect the integration process because both databases will still remain in sync until the task is completed! It saves time, money and energy. As mentioned above in item 4 above, integrating these two databases manually would be very time consuming and costly because of the human invpvement invpved in it. Therefore, using MongoDB will save me the hassle of having to hire someone else to do it for me or asking my own IT department to do it for me as well! Furthermore, using MongoDB saves me electricity because my computer won’t need to run 24/7 for weeks or even months until the integration task is completed! Additionally, using MongoDB will also save me tons of energy every day because whenever I need to check what is going on with the integration process while it is underway or when I simply want to see where the progress lies at any given moment in time during this process…I only need to look at my phone instead of going over to my computer or calling up my IT department! Conclusion To conclude this article, integration of Instagram Business and MongoDB will benefit both businesses and their customers greatly as a whpe! It saves time and money while increasing productivity as well as efficiency at work or at home! Thus, I strongly recommend implementing this strategy right now before your competitors do!
