On June 18, 2018, Instagram announced the launch of “Instagram Business”. The goal behind this launch is to make it easier for companies to use Instagram for marketing purposes.
To do so, Instagram has added a new section called “Explore” to its app. This section will include business profiles that are verified by Instagram. The verification process is similar to how Twitter verifies accounts. It allows users to identify which companies are official accounts rather than personal ones.
This feature will be available to all users in the United States at first. After that, other regions will slowly be added.
