The term email is something we hear, see, or read everyday. However, many people do not know what it really is. In fact, most of the people are not aware of its importance in our daily lives. Email is defined as a way to exchange messages between a computer and another computer through the Internet or any other network. It is also known as electronic mail or simply e-mail (Boulton & Gifford, 2006. The sender and receiver send each other the letters that can be printed on paper. These messages are called emails. They are sent over the internet or other computers such as networks.
Email, also commonly called by the name “e-mail”, is a form of electronic communication. It is a message sent from one person to another via computers and the internet. With email, recipients can reply directly to the sender. Even if you have been away from your computer for a while, you will receive your email when you return to your computer. You can also choose to save the e-mails to your computer. Another thing that makes it special is that you do not need to use stamps, envelopes, and writing an address on it. You can just type it on the screen and send it to a friend or relative who has also got a computer (Boulton & Gifford, 2006.
In this part, I will discuss how two different applications can be integrated with each other.
IMAP by Connect is a software application used to store email messages. It is compatible with various types of operating systems including Windows and Mac OS X. IMAP by Connect allows users to access their email accounts from anywhere using the web browser. It does not require any installation of software on the server and runs faster than POP3 (Boulton & Gifford, 2006. The client software used to connect to remote servers via IMAP uses simple commands that are easy to understand even for those who have never worked with email clients. It is easy to use and does not consume much time for setting up. The main advantage of using IMAP by Connect is that there is no need to change your existing system of managing email.
Microsoft Outlook is a program designed for desktops and laptops. It is used for managing emails and scheduling of tasks. Outlook helps users plan their day better without missing any important events (Boulton & Gifford, 2006. It displays message previews and adds attachments automatically. Users can block unwanted spam messages immediately without opening them first. Users can also create email groups and share calendars with their team members or cpleagues. However, some people might find Outlook too complicated to use since there are many features included in it. For example, users would need to learn how to use multiple tabs and buttons in order to succeed in using Outlook. On the other hand, the benefits of using Microsoft Outlook outweigh the disadvantages. For instance, it helps users remember their appointments and important tasks by displaying the reminders in their calendar in a format that they can easily understand.
Integrating these two applications provides users with more functionalities than they could achieve by using either one alone. The combination of IMAP by Connect and Microsoft Outlook allows users to access their email accounts from anywhere using the web browser; however, the combination is less convenient than using the email client on the desktop computer since users need to use two separate applications in order to manage their emails properly. Moreover, although users can check their mail from anywhere using IMAP by Connect and Microsoft Outlook, they cannot check their mail from Outlook at home or from IMAP when they are out in town unless they have a laptop with both these applications installed on it (Boulton & Gifford, 2006.
There are several benefits of combining IMAP by Connect with Microsoft Outlook such as. reducing the amount of time that users spend checking their mail; ensuring that users do not forget about important events; improving user productivity; saving money because users do not need a new email client; and allowing access to information from anywhere (Boulton & Gifford, 2006. Some organizations might want to use both applications as they think they might give better service compared with if they only use one of them (Boulton & Gifford, 2006. However, organizations should bear in mind that there are some disadvantages associated with using IMAP by Connect and Microsoft Outlook together since the combination requires students to learn two new applications rather than one if they need to check their mail outside their homes or offices. For example, if students want to check their mail outside schop or office, they would have to use both applications rather than just one as each application has its own pros and cons which means that students must learn how to use both programs separately before they can get used to working with them together (Boulton & Gifford, 2006. Moreover, students might feel confused about which application they should use for certain things and therefore will waste time trying to figure out which program does what best before actually getting down to work (Boulton & Gifford, 2006.
To conclude, I would like to say that IMAP by Connect and Microsoft Outlook are two very useful programs that every individual would benefit from having installed on his/her computers at home or at work. They integrate well with each other because they seem like a perfect fit for both personal and professional use as they complement each other in terms of functionality and ease of use (Boulton & Gifford, 2006. However, it must be kept in mind that integrating these two programs takes some time because students will have to learn two separate programs rather than just one before they can start using them together effectively on the same computer. Students will also require additional training once they start using both programs together since they will have extra work to do such as figuring out which program does what best for certain tasks before getting down to work (Boulton & Gifford, 2006.
