In order to integrate IMAP by Connect and Deskpro, you need to complete a series of tasks:

Install the IMAP by Connect Plugin – Download the plugin from http://www.imapbyconnect.com/downloads/. Once you have downloaded the plugin, fplow the instructions on the download page to install it. The plugin will be available for Outlook 2010, 2007, 2003, 2002 and 2000. If you are using a version of Outlook that is not listed, please contact us at [email protected] . Configure the Settings – Once you have installed the plugin, navigate to Tops->Options->Connection->IMAP by Connect->General tab. In the General tab, you should see a list of servers. Click on “Add Server” if you do not see the server listed in the list. Fill out this form with all of the information about your IMAP by Connect server (domain, IP address, port. Under the Advanced tab, make sure that POP3 is checked off under “Login Method”. You may also want to check off “Prompt for Password” if you log into the server with an account that has different passwords for IMAP by Connect and Outlook (i.e., you set your account password in IMAP by Connect but log into Outlook with another password. Install Deskpro – You can download Deskpro here. http://www.deskproapp.com/download/install/default.html Log onto the Web Client – Once you have installed Deskpro, you will need to log onto the web client with your username and password. You can find this information on the Deskpro Login Page. Navigate to Settings->User Settings->Web Assistant. Check off “Enable Web Assistant”, then click “Save Changes”. Configure Deskpro – Now that you have both products installed, you will need to configure several settings in Deskpro to integrate them together. To do this, open up Deskpro either through the desktop shortcut or through your browser (http://127.0.0.1:8181/. Click on “Device Management” in the navigation bar on the left side of the screen. Click on “Email Settings” at the top of this page. Begin adding your email settings by first clicking on “Add New Email Account” at the top of the page. Fill out this form with all of the information about your IMAP by Connect server (domain, IP address, port. Do not enter any value for password because you are connecting via IMAP by Connect’s plugin settings in Outlook. Click “Save Changes” at the bottom of this screen once you have filled out all of your email settings. Now click on “Connected Devices” at the top of this page. Find “My Desktop Client” in this list and click on it. Find “My Outlook Account” in this list and click on it. Make sure that you have both IMAP by Connect and Mailbox checked off under Mailbox Type settings, then click “Save Changes” at the bottom of this page. Restart Everything – Restart your computer so that everything comes back up after your changes are saved. Testing – Test your setup by logging onto your email account through your Outlook plugin (Tops->Options->IMAP by Connect->General tab), then clicking on View->Message Tracking Viewer (this will allow you to see messages as they come in); or setup a test message by sending yourself a message from IMAP by Connect -> Mailbox -> Send Message -> Create New Message -> Name it something like “Test Message”; then click Send Message (you should see it appear in your inbox. If everything went smoothly, you should now be able to go back into Deskpro and see everything that is happening with your messages (i.e., what messages were sent, what messages were read, etc..
