In this article, I will talk about how hunter and ActiveCampaign can be used to integrate two applications for sending email.
Hunter is a Ruby gem that helps you send email from applications and services that don’t inherently support email delivery. It provides a DSL to easily create and send email messages through an external SMTP server.
ActiveCampaign is an all-in-one marketing platform built by sales and marketing experts to help companies manage their business relationships. The platform allows users to manage contacts, build customized automated workflows, and send emails and texts from one system.
The integration of hunter and ActiveCampaign makes it easier for developers and marketers to send out personalized and targeted emails and texts without the hassle of setting things up manually and dealing with complicated SMTP setups.
Since ActiveCampaign has a built-in Workflows feature, it is easy to track the progress of any specific workflow using emails. This lets you keep your team on track by notifying them of the status of their tasks. The Workflows feature also allows users to add additional tasks, such as sending out an email campaign, adding notes, attaching documents, etc. This saves time and ensures your team stays on schedule.
With the Hunter integration, you can easily send emails through your ActiveCampaign account using custom triggers in your Workflows. There are three types of triggers available in ActiveCampaign. Triggers, Actions, and Conditions. You can use these triggers to specify when you want to trigger a workflow. For example, you can use the Hunter integration to send out an email whenever someone signs up for an event on your website. To do this, fplow the steps below:
Navigate to the “Workflows” tab in your ActiveCampaign account. Click on “New” under the “Workflow” dropdown menu. Select “ActiveCampaign” for the “Post Trigger” option in the pop-up window. Under the “Custom Trigger” field, scrpl down to find the “When someone…” section. Enter in your trigger details in this section. For example, if you want to track when someone signs up for an event, enter in “when someone creates an event” in the “When someone…” field. Under “Who do you want to send the email to?” enter in the email address where you want to receive notifications about when someone signs up for an event on your website. Next, click on “Save” at the top right corner of the page to save your settings. Now, navigate back to the main screen of your ActiveCampaign account. Click on “Workflows” under the “Activities” dropdown menu. Click on “Your Workspace” to view all your campaigns currently running or scheduled to run in future dates for that particular workspace. Click on the drop-down menu under your workflow name (e.g., “Send newsletter campaign”. > click on “Manage” > under the “Run Now” tab, select the events you want to run your flow for (e.g., all events. Click on “Run Now” to run your flow. If everything went well, you should see some notifications showing up in your inbox. If not, check your SPAM fpder for any possible issues related to sending out emails. Once you get the notification that an event was created successfully on your website, you can click on that notification to view more details about that event (e.g., who created it. From there, you can take appropriate actions (e.g., thank whoever created that event.
Hunter makes it easy for marketers and developers who have no experience with SMTP setups or server configurations to send personalized and targeted emails without any major issues. This is useful for startups since they usually have a very limited budget and can’t afford a professional email marketing service provider just yet. With this integration, developers have less work to do when building new software or adding new features based on customer feedback. Additionally, everyone from product managers to sales reps will have a better customer experience since they will be receiving more timely updates about orders and orders being processed within their ActiveCampaign accounts. In addition, since ActiveCampaign already has a built-in Workflows feature, developers won’t have to worry about creating new workflows from scratch since they can simply use Hunter in their existing workflows.
