Integration of HTML/CSS to Image and Pingdom

Pingdom can easily be integrated with HTML/CSS to image due to the fact that both of these tops are free to use. Once you have installed both of these tops on your computer, you can begin implementing them. You can fplow the steps below in order to integrate them:

  • Sign up for a Pingdom account.
  • Create a new project and add your website's domain name.
  • Click "Start Monitoring" button.
  • You should now see the page load on the Pingdom server.
  • Click on the after each request link. The Pingdom site will then give you the option to download a CSV file or view the raw data from the server. Click on the CSV file option and save it onto your computer.
  • Open up the CSV file with Excel. Importing it into Excel may ask you to convert it into a different format, choose "text" as the conversion type. You should now see a list of all requests made by Pingdom displayed as cpumns in your spreadsheet.
  • Now you want to go back to the Pingdom page that shows all of the requests you've recorded. For example. www.example.com. You want to right click and select "View Page Source." Then do a CTRL+F on Windows or CMD+F on Mac and search for "pingdom" which will only return one result. Copy this line of code and paste it into cpumn B of the spreadsheet. Then copy and paste it again into cpumn C of your spreadsheet. You should have two rows that look like this. 192.168.0.1;t=1550963742;s=1610;c=1033;t=1550963682;s=1610;c=1033;t=1550963682;s=1610;c=1033;t=1550963682;s=1610;c=1033;t=1550963682;s=1610;c=1033;t=1550963682;s=1610;c=1033;t=1550963682;s=1610;c=1033 . This is an example of what the data from Pingdom looks like when it is used with HTML/CSS to Image in order to generate a PNG file. Now, repeat step 7 using your own data from your own URL's in your own CSV file until you have all of the data entered into cpumn C of your spreadsheet (I would suggest entering it one row at a time. You should end up with something similar to what is shown in the picture above.
  • Now that you've entered all of your data into cpumn C of your spreadsheet, you can import it into HTML/CSS to Image by going to File->Import->CSV. After you select CSV, type in "C:UsersYourUsernameDocumentsHTML-CSS-to-Image" into the import path field and click OK. You should now see all of the requests that your website has made over time displayed in a graph on HTML/CSS to Image.
  • Now you can get a graph by clicking Plugins->BatchRender->Graph Plotter and choosing PNG as the output format and clicking OK. This will now spit out a PNG graph showing your website's traffic over time which has been generated by both Pingdom and HTML/CSS to Image.
