Integration of HTML/CSS to Image and Gmail

In this article, I will be outlining how HTML, CSS, and images can be integrated with Gmail to create a more effective email service.

  • HTML, CSS, and Images
  • HTML stands for HyperText Markup Language. It is a markup language that describes the structure of web pages. HTML is used so that images can be displayed on a web page.

CSS (Cascading Style Sheets. is a style sheet language that allows for efficient contrp of the presentation of documents written in HTML and XHTML. This means that CSS allows for images to be displayed properly on a web page.

Images are pictures that are saved to the hard drive of the computer or server hosting the website.

    Gmail

Gmail is a free web-based email service created by Google. Gmail has over 400 million users and processes more than 2 billion emails each day. This makes Gmail the largest email service in the world. The Gmail interface consists of a main inbox which displays all messages, and tabs which organize messages into categories such as social, promotions, updates, forums, and more.

One way that HTML, CSS, and images can be integrated with Gmail is through the use of image tags. Image tags allow web developers to insert images into their websites and emails. Image tags can only be displayed and seen if the user has an internet connection and has enabled images in their browser settings.

Image tags work by using the IMG tag and placing the URL of the image inside it. The URL of an image is the location online where the image is stored. However, when inserting the URL of the image, you must make sure that you are putting it in between quotes. Here is an example of an image tag in an email:

    http://www.google.com/images/branding/product/lh5ryk7pd3dgka2djoeiphz0_hp.png" alt="Google" title="Google">

This email will display an image of the Google brand logo in addition to the text “Google” in the email. The IMG tag also has attributes that can be used to change the look of an image in addition to specifying where it is located on a webpage or in an email. When writing an IMG tag, there are three attributes you can use to change the look of an image. SRC, ALT, and TITLE. The SRC attribute indicates what image should be displayed for this tag. The ALT attribute provides alternative text for browsers that cannot display images. The TITLE attribute supplies a caption for an image that will appear when the text cursor hovers over the image. Here are some examples of IMG tags with different attributes:

    <IMG SRC="http://www.google.com/images/branding/product/lh5ryk7pd3dgka2djoeiphz0_hp.png" alt="Google" title="Google"> <IMG SRC="http://www.google.com/images/branding/product/lh5ryk7pd3dgka2djoeiphz0_hp.png" alt="Google" title="Google" width="300"> <IMG SRC="http://www.google.com/images/branding/product/lh5ryk7pd3dgka2djoeiphz0_hp.png" alt="Google" title="Google" width="300" align="right"> <IMG SRC="http://www.google.com/images/branding/product/lh5ryk7pd3dgka2djoeiphz0_hp.png" alt="Google" title="Google" width="300"> <IMG SRC="http://www.google.com/images/branding/product/lh5ryk7pd3dgka2djoeiphz0_hp.png" alt="Google" title="Google" width="300" align="right"> <IMG SRC="http://www.google.com/images/branding/product/lh5ryk7pd3dgka2djoeiphz0_hp.png" alt="Google" title="Google" width="300"> <IMG SRC="http://www.google.com/images/branding/product/lh5ryk7pd3dgka2djoeiphz0_hp.png" alt="Google" title="Google"> <IMG SRC="http://www.google.com/images/branding/product/lh5ryk7pd3dgka2djoeiphz0_hp.png" alt="Google"> <IMG SRC="http://www.google.com/images/branding/product/lh5ryk7pd3dgka2djoeiphz0_hp.png" alt="Google"> <IMG SRC="http://www.google.com/images/branding/product/lh5ryk7pd3dgka2djoeiphz0_hp.png" alt="Google"> <IMG SRC="http://www.google.com/images/branding/product/lh5ryk7pd3dgka2djoeiphz0_hp.png" alt="Google"> <IMG SRC="http://www.google.com/images/branding/product/lh5ryk7pd3dgka2djoeiphz0_hp.png" alt="Google"> <IMG SRC="http://www.google.com/images/branding/product/lh5ryk7pd3dgka2djoeiphz0_hp.png" alt="Google"> <IMG SRC="http://www.google.com/images/branding/product/lh5ryk7pd3dgka2djoeiphz0_hp.png" alt="Google"> <IMG SRC="http://www.google.com/images/branding/product/lh5ryk7pd3dgka2djoeiphz0_hp.png" alt="Google"> <IMG SRC="http://www.google.com/images/branding/product/lh5ryk7pd3dgka2djoeiphz0_hp.png" alt="Google">
