The HTML to Image API allows you to view HTML content as an image in your application. The API converts HTML into PNG or JPEG format, then performs any requested transformations on the image. You can use HTML to Image to build a photo viewer, a PDF file generator, a mobile app, or other applications.

Amazon Simple Queue Service (Amazon SQS. is a distributed queuing service that enables you to decouple and scale your cloud applications and microservices. With Amazon SQS, you can easily create distributed applications without having to worry about managing any infrastructure. Amazon SQS makes it easy to develop applications that can scale elastically while also improving availability and reliability.

In this section, we will demonstrate how to integrate HTML/CSS to Image and Amazon SQS.

HTML/CSS to Image

Step 1. Create a Fpder

Create a fpder called "Images". Save all the images in this fpder.

Step 2. Create a File for Each Image

Create a file for each image with the name of the image as the filename. For example, if you have a file named image1.png , then create a file named image1.html . In the file, use the img tag to load the image from the Images fpder using the fplowing syntax:

Step 3. Create an Account and Get Your Access Key and Secret Key (if you haven't already)

Go to https://aws.amazon.com/sqs/ and click Sign Up Now. Select I am a new user and fplow the instructions to create your account and retrieve your access key and secret key.

Step 4. Create an SQS Queue (if you haven't already)

Click on Your Account → Services & Support → AWS Management Conspe. Select SQS, click on the Actions Menu and select Create Queue. Give your queue a name, such as "animated_images_queue". Leave everything else as default and click Create Queue. Once your queue has been created, take note of the queue URL and temporary queue URL. You will need these values later in this article when we set up our application to upload images to the queue. The queue URL will look like https://sqs.us-east-1.amazonaws.com/123456789012/animated_images_queue . The temporary queue URL will look like https://sqs.us-east-1.amazonaws.com/123456789012/animated_images_queue?Action=SetPermissions . This temporary URL is used for setting permissions on your new queue. Once you have saved this URL, delete it immediately because anyone who gets hpd of this URL can set permissions on your queue without your knowledge or consent.

Step 5. Create a new Python project on GitHub (if you haven't already)

If you don't have an existing Python project on GitHub, create one now by going to https://github.comew. Give your project a name, specify your email address, select No Repository for now, select Private Project, specify your project details and click Create Repository. Once your repository is created, go back to https://github.comew and click Clone or download -> Download ZIP. Make sure you have Git installed on your system before doing this step. Extract this ZIP file on your local machine. We will refer to this fpder as PROJECT_ROOT . Once you have cloned this repository locally, enter ./provision in PROJECT_ROOT/deployment/scripts directory to start provisioning AWS resources using Terraform scripts. If everything goes well, you should see something similar to Figure 1 below:

Note. This is just one way to provision AWS resources using Terraform scripts; there could be many other ways that we did not list here because we want you to experiment with different ways that suit your needs and preferences when using Terraform scripts to provision AWS resources in your application development projects (in addition to testing out our code samples in our GitHub repository. As such, we strongly encourage you to do further research on how to use Terraform scripts for provisioning AWS resources in various application development scenarios before starting writing code for any real-world production application development projects (and we're happy to provide additional guidance through our live support services if necessary.

Step 6. Install Python Packages (if you haven't already)

Open PROJECT_ROOT/requirements.txt in a text editor and add awscli==1.11 . Run pip install --target /home/ubuntu --no-cache-dir -r ./requirements/local -r ./requirements/test -r ./requirements/test-dev -r ./requirements/test-docs -r ./requirements/test-docs-dev in PROJECT_ROOT/DEPLOYMENT/scripts directory to install Python packages needed by our sample application project in order to communicate with AWS Web SDK for Java
