Harvest is a time-tracking application used by Microsoft to track and distribute the hours employees have worked on projects. Since it’s creation, Harvest has been used for various other purposes, such as tracking how much time was spent working on projects in relation to others. It is also used to track time spent on tasks through a calendar or a spreadsheet, which can be exported in CSV format and then uploaded into a spreadsheet. The Harvest application itself is web-based, and can be accessed through an internet browser.

LinkedIn allows users to connect with their peers who are in similar positions as themselves, and to create a network of sorts that can be very beneficial when looking for a new job, company to work for, or even just someone interesting to talk to.

For example, if there is a manufacturing company that makes tractor parts for a specific company, they could ask any employees who have tractor parts listed under their skills section whether or not they have experience in making tractor parts before hiring them.
