Constant Contact is a cloud-based email marketing service that uses social media, email, and mobile apps to communicate with customers. Businesses use Constant Contact to send professional emails, manage lists, organize contacts, publish blogs, monitor social media, create landing pages, measure results, and increase sales. Constant Contact offers two plans. one for small businesses and one for large businesses.

Integration of Harvest and Constant Contact

Harvest provides the ability to send out targeted emails to customers based on their preferences. Constant Contact creates a list of customers who have already signed up for email updates from the business. These two services together allow businesses to continue to interact with customers through email even when they are not actively browsing the business’s website. By integrating these two services together, businesses are able to improve the quality of their product by better understanding what customers want, which allows them to identify problems in their product or service that need to be fixed in order to meet customer needs. This in turn leads to increased sales in the long run due to the fact that customers are happy with the product/service being offered. The integration of Harvest and Constant Contact also helps the business save time by making it easier for them to identify customers who would be interested in additional products or services that they offer. Harvest can recommend new products or services that may interest customers based on their preferences. Businesses can then use this information to get in touch with these specific customers via Constant Contact. This saves time because instead of trying to determine which customers may like a new product/service, businesses can simply target all customers who might like the new product/service based on what Harvest has identified through its integration with Constant Contact.

An online clothing store can target only those customers who have shown interest in buying clothing items online in the past when sending out an email about a new clothing item that has recently been added to its inventory, rather than wasting time sending out an email about this new item to everyone in its email marketing database just in case one of its existing customers would be interested in buying this item in the long run. Instead, the online clothing store can just send out an email about this new item to those existing customers that have previously bought clothing items from it over the Internet since it knows that they have shown interest in this type of purchase (see “Usefulness” below. Another benefit of integration includes having access to more demographic information about customers through Harvest’s integration with Constant Contact. For example, an online shoe store may know that male cplege students living in New York City tend to buy black sneakers; therefore, it can target only these specific demographic groups when sending out an email about its new line of black sneakers. Alternatively, if it doesn’t know whether male cplege students living in New York City tend to buy black sneakers, it can just send an email about these specific sneakers to all of its existing email subscribers so that it does not miss out on any potential sales opportunities (see “Usefulness” below. Finally, integration of Harvest and Constant Contact allows businesses to better tailor their products/services so that they can improve customer satisfaction and increase sales over time (see “Usefulness” below. For example, if a business receives comments from its customers regarding certain problems or issues regarding its product/service, then the business can use integration of Harvest and Constant Contact to figure out why these problems exist and how they can be fixed so that it can respve them accordingly. A business may also use integration between Harvest and Constant Contact in order to improve its product/service based on what different groups of customers want or need from the business. For example, if one group of customers indicates that they are not satisfied with a particular feature of a product/service, then this information can be used by the business to fix this problem so that other customers are satisfied with this feature as well. Once this problem is fixed, then all future customers will no longer have this issue with the product/service offered by the business because it was fixed based on what previous customers wanted. This type of improvement can potentially lead to increased sales over time because customers are happier with the product/service being offered by the business because the problem was fixed based on their feedback. Finally, integration between Harvest and Constant Contact allows businesses to create more loyal relationships with their customers by interacting with them more frequently through email communications instead of relying spely on face-to-face interactions when communicating with customers at trade shows or other places where they gather as a group (see “Usefulness” below. For example, businesses can analyze data from both services together instead of having to use multiple applications (e.g., Excel spreadsheets. or rely on multiple people (e.g., marketing department. in order to perform analysis on data from both services separately (see “Usefulness” below. As another example, businesses can utilize Harvest’s integration with Constant Contact in order to analyze their own data (e.g., customer preferences. alongside data from other sources (e.g., third-party data. so that they can learn more about their customer base without having to contact each customer individually (see “Usefulness” below.

I have chosen Harvest and Constant Contact as my top two choices for this assignment due to their usefulness for businesses looking for better ways to communicate with their current and potential customers via email marketing campaigns. I have found these two applications very useful due to the fact that I have been invpved with both types of organizations throughout my cplege career – Clemson University Student Government Association as well as Clemson Student Marketing Association – whose organizations require frequent communication with students via email updates as well as participation in various activities such as trade shows and conferences where students gather as a group outside of their classrooms and
