It was created by a programmer named Adam Dachis, who had previously created Beeminder, another web-based application that helps you keep track of how much time you spend on tasks.

Trello is an online project management application. It’s used by individuals and businesses alike to organize any projects they are working on. Everything has its place in Trello, whether it’s a checklist for your grocery shopping or a spreadsheet of ideas for your next big project. Each task is placed into a “card” on a board. The boards are cpor coded for easier organization.
