Habitica is an app that allows users to create habits, track them, and earn gpd. The app motivates its users to perform their desired tasks through the use of game mechanics (16. Through this app, users can progress through quests, gain experience points (XP), and level up (16. Users can set daily goals or habits they want to accomplish, and be rewarded for completing them (17. Users are assigned a random class, which determines the rewards they receive (17. Users can also join parties with friends (18.
An additional feature present in Habitica is the ability to check your stats, which include XP, gpd, gems, party members, mounts, achievements, enemies, pets, and more (19.
SMS Alert is an app that allows users to receive text messages at specific times. It also enables users to send text messages to other users. This app makes it easy for users to remind themselves of important events. For example, if you have an appointment tomorrow at 10 AM, you can set an SMS Alert reminder to go off at 9:30 PM, so you will not forget your appointment (20.
I believe that integration of Habitica and SMS Alert would be beneficial to both apps. I think that the integration of these two apps would increase user engagement because receiving information on their phone would make using Habitica more convenient. Also, integrating Habitica and SMS Alert would allow the two apps to work together better by allowing Habitica users to set reminders easily.
My first reason why I think the integration of these two apps would be beneficial is that it would make using Habitica more convenient. If Habitica was integrated with SMS Alert, then I could use my phone to set reminders for my habits. This way I wouldn’t have to worry about losing my reminder notes from Habitica. This is because I always lose my reminder notes from Habitica! Plus it would be easier to set reminders for myself when I am near my phone compared to when I am not near my computer. In addition, receiving reminders on your phone would make it less likely for you to forget about your habit(s. because it would be more accessible. However, even though SMS Alert is a great way of setting reminders, some people may find it inconvenient because they may not own a smart phone. In this case, they wouldn’t be able to receive reminders on their phones. In this case, I think that integrating SMS Alert with Habitica is important because you can still get reminders from your computer. This way everyone can get reminders from Habitica.
My second reason why I think that integrating Habitica and SMS Alert would be beneficial is that it would allow the two apps to work together better by allowing Habitica users to set reminders easily. This is because if you have a habit of going to sleep at a certain time every night and you don’t want to forget to go to bed, you can set a reminder on your phone so you won’t forget. Then if you want to check how well you did on that habit in the morning when you wake up, you can check it on your phone! Then when you check your stats in Habitica you can see how well you did on that habit compared to the rest of your stats! However, sometimes checking habits in your stats can be boring and tedious. Therefore I think that this app would make checking habits fun because you could do it whenever you wanted! Sometimes checking habits can be hard and stressful too because if you didn’t do well on one habit and you try really hard to do better next time, but you don’t know how well you did until the day after! So in my opinion this app would also make checking habits less stressful! However just like before some people may not own a smart phone so they wont be able to use this app. In this case I think that this integration is important because just like before everyone can get reminders from Habitica!
I also think that there are many benefits of integrating Habitica and SMS Alert together aside from making it easier and more convenient for users. For example. If I had a habit of drinking water every day and I didn’t drink enough water one day, then I would get a reminder on my phone telling me to drink more water tomorrow. Then I could drink more water the next day because I remembered it! Another example is if I had a habit of drinking coffee every day but I didn’t drink any coffee one day then I would get a reminder on my phone telling me to drink coffee the next day. Then I could drink coffee the next day because I remembered it! Also integrating Habitica and SMS Alert would make Habiticans more motivated to complete their habits because they could get cop rewards for them! All in all integrating Habitica and SMS Alert would be very beneficial!
