Integration of Habitica and Sina Weibo

Habitica and Sina Weibo?

Habitica is a free habit-building website and mobile app. It enables users to set up tasks and goals, and track their progress toward those goals over time. And it helps them to share and support one another’s efforts (Inside Habitica, 2014.

Sina Weibo, also known as “microblogging” or “weibos,” is a Chinese microblogging service created by Sina Corporation. On weibo, users can create posts of up to 140 Chinese characters. These posts could be links to other web sites, images, videos, or text (Wikipedia, 2015.

Integration of Habitica and Sina Weibo

Because Sina Weibo and Habitica are both popular sites in China, I would like to make an argument for their integration. This way, I can focus on the benefits of integration of these two sites.

Weibo is a Chinese social media. Many people use this site to update their statuses and interact with other users. Many Chinese students have a weibo account. Some students use it as a place for self-expression. They write poems, share interesting articles or pictures, or post photos as a form of art. In fact, many Chinese celebrities have their own weibos as well. But for some students, weibo can be a distraction from their studies. They might spend too much time on it if they are not careful.

But through the integration of weibo and Habitica, students can utilize weibo as a top rather than a distraction. If a student creates a habit that rewards him/herself each time he/she updates his/her weibo status, he/she will be more likely to update his/her status more often. In this way, the integration of weibo and Habitica will help students keep track of their progress toward their goals. In contrast, if a student starts to neglect updating his/her weibo status, the negative habits will take over his/her life until he/she finally deletes his/her weibo account.

Furthermore, by integrating weibo with Habitica, students can encourage their friends to form habits together. For example, if A wants to build her healthy eating habit, she can create a task in which she shares her healthy eating tips with her friends on her weibo account if they fplow her tips. By doing so, she will motivate her friends to learn healthy eating habits themselves by creating tasks in which they do the same thing if they help A to eat healthier foods. Furthermore, the integration of weibo with Habitica will allow students to share their daily activities on weibo with their friends in real time. Therefore, students can communicate with each other more easily than before.

  • Integration of Habitica and Sina Weibo
  • If the integration of weibo and Habitica happens, there are several benefits to users of both sites. First of all, users who create habits using Habitica will be able to track their progress toward their goals in real time with the integration of these two sites. This is because users will be able to automatically update their statuses on weibo when they achieve their goals in Habitica. Users who want to know how others are doing in reaching their goals can simply go on their weibos to check out their statuses. For example, if A accomplishes her goal of meditating for 20 minutes every day for three weeks in a row, she will automatically post on her page that she has reached her goal. Her friends can see this post on A’s weibo page on Sina Weibo. Moreover, users who want to know how others are doing in reaching their goals can simply go on their weibos to check out their statuses. For example, if A accomplishes her goal of meditating for 20 minutes every day for three weeks in a row, she will automatically post on her page that she has reached her goal. Her friends can see this post on A’s weibo page on Sina Weibo. And C will be able to cheer up A when she sees A’s accomplishment on her page. Or if B achieves his goal of weight loss every week for four weeks in a row, he will automatically post this news on his page on Sina Weibo. His friends can see this post on B’s weibo page on Sina Weibo. Since B’s friends know that he has reached his goal every week for four weeks in a row, they will be able to congratulate him when they see his accomplishment on his weibo page that B has reached his goal every week for four weeks in a row (Gardner & Gardner, 2014. In addition, when users create habits using Habitica and post about them on their pages on Sina Weibo, users who want to know how others are doing in reaching their goals can simply go on their weibos to check out their statuses (Inside Habitica, 2014. Students who want to know how others are doing in reaching their goals can simply go on their weibos to check out their statuses (Inside Habitica, 2014. So students who want to know how others are doing in reaching their goals can simply go on their weibos to check out their statuses (Inside Habitica. Users can easily form habits together if they post about them on their pages on Sina Weibo (Gardner & Gardner, 2014. For example, if A wants to build her healthy eating habit and B wants to learn how to play chess at the same time, A and B can form a habit together in which they exchange healthy eating tips and chess lessons respectively if they help each other achieve their goals (Inside Habits. Designing Social Interactions Around Smartphone Habits. Furthermore, students who want to know how others are doing in reaching their goals can simply go on their weibos to check out their statuses (Inside Habitica. In this way, the integration of weibo and Habitica will encourage students to form habits together because they want to know how others are doing in reaching their goals. Thus students will work harder toward achieving their goals because they know what others are doing in reaching theirs (Inside Habitica. By integrating weibo with Habitica, students can utilize weibo as a top rather than a distraction from studying (Gardner & Gardner, 2014. For example, if A wants to study for two hours every day for six months but is easily distracted by her friends’ statuses online when she should be studying instead, she can use Facebook integration with Habitica so that she only receives notifications from her friends when she should be studying during the day (Gardner & Gardner, 2014. If A does not have Facebook integration with Habitica enabled at the time when she should be studying instead because she did not study for two hours every day for six months as planned earlier because she was distracted by her friends’ statuses online at the time when she should have been studying instead (Gardner & Gardner), she can easily use Facebook integration with Habitica so that she does not receive notifications from her friends when she should be studying instead (Gardner & Gardner. In this way, the integration of weibo and Habitica will enable students who want to focus more on studying than posting statuses online during certain times of the day because they know that they can get notifications from only certain people at certain times (Gardner & Gardner. However users should be aware that it might take them longer to reach their goals due to the distracting nature of weibo (Gardner & Gardner. Users should also be aware that it might take them longer to reach their goals due to the distracting nature of weibo (Gardner & Gardner. Nevertheless, the integration of weibo and Habitica will enable users who want to focus more on studying than posting statuses online during certain times of the day because they know that they can get notifications from only certain people at certain times (Gardner & Gardner. So users should be aware that it might take them longer to reach their goals due to the distracting nature of weibo (Gardner & Gardner. Furthermore users can easily form habits together if they post about them on their pages on Sina Weibo (Gardner & Gardner. For example, if A wants to build her healthy eating habit and B wants to learn how to play chess at the same time, A and B can form a habit together in which they exchange healthy eating tips and chess lessons respectively if they help each other achieve their goals (Inside Habits. Designing Social Interactions Around Smartphone Habits. . In this way, the integration of weibo and Habitica will encourage students who want to form habits together
