  • the integration of Habitica and Microsoft Outlook? Microsoft Outlook is a desktop email application used for organizing and scheduling personal and business appointments and tasks. It uses desktop software to provide email services for Windows, Apple and Android devices. It also allows users to create calendar and task lists and sync them between multiple devices. Habitica is a platform which helps users become more productive by keeping them on task with their goals. Habitica was created in 2012 by Adam D. Brown and Dio Synodinos, who met while studying at the University of Waterloo. With the recent release of this integration this functionality is now available inside of Outlook. Now Outlook can be used to set daily tasks to complete, monitor progress towards completing tasks, assign attributes to tasks based on achievements, gain experience points based on task completion, lose experience points when tasks are skipped or marked as late, gain gpd coins when tasks are completed early or marked as on-time, level up based on experience points, unlock abilities based on levels, reward oneself with experience points after completing a time consuming task, gain health points when completing tasks, lose health points for skipping tasks, lose health points when marking tasks as late, gain mana points after completing a time consuming task, lose mana points for skipping tasks or marking them as late, lose mana points when marking tasks as on-time, gain gpd coins when completing tasks early, gain gpd coins when marking tasks as on-time, use gpd coins to buy special abilities, name tasks to help organize them into categories or group them together for easier tracking, plan activities using calendars that have events from multiple sources added to them, set due dates for tasks so they appear in calendars automatically, set reminders so they are notified before a task is due, set recurring date ranges for recurring tasks, set tasks to repeat daily so they are always visible even if they are already completed, display comments next to tasks so they have additional information about them without cluttering the screen, set priority levels for tasks so they know which ones to focus on first or which ones require more attention than others, use tags to categorize tasks into groups to make them easier to track over time, organize their task lists using fpders that contain multiple subfpders that contain all of your task lists for easy access whenever you need it, share task lists with other people so they can see what you are working on or cplaborate on projects with them. When I first started using Habitica I thought it was great because I could easily create my own “gamified” version of Outlook. I could use Habitica to track all of my work tasks then I could use Outlook to track my personal appointments and other types of tasks that I needed to complete throughout the day. Since integrating these two applications together it has become very useful because if I forget about an appointment or I am worried that I will forget about an appointment I can just check Outlook and if it is due soon enough I can go ahead and schedule it in habitica so it will be easy for me to remember later. The integration of these two applications has made it much easier for me to manage my tasks because I don’t have to worry about forgetting about an appointment because if I forget about an appointment I can just check my Outlook area of habitica and if it is due soon enough I can go ahead and schedule it in habitica so it will be easy for me to remember later. This integration makes it easier for me to stay organized because now whenever I am ready to schedule a new appointment or a meeting with someone else I can just quickly look through my Outlook area of habitica and find out if there is anything that needs to be taken care of before I meet with them or if there is anything that needs to be completed before I commit myself to any type of event. Also whenever I am making a commitment I can just quickly look through my Outlook area of habitica and find out if there is anything that needs to be taken care of before I meet with them or if there is anything that needs to be completed before I commit myself to any type of event. With this integration now Outlook can be used as a way to remind us about meetings we have scheduled but have not yet been reminded about by our calendar software which gives us a second chance at being reminded about those meetings which may have been overlooked the first time. In addition now Outlook can also be used as a way to remind us about appointments we have scheduled but have yet been reminded about by our calendar software which gives us a second chance at being reminded about those appointments which may have been overlooked the first time. Once we start using this integration we will no longer need to worry about missing meetings or forgetting appointments because we can now make use of the reminders provided by Outlook and the reminders provided by habitica itself which give us multiple chances at being reminded about those meetings or appointments that we need to take care of before they slip our mind entirely. Because the reminders provided by both of these applications give us multiple chances at being reminded about those meetings or appointments that we need to take care of before they slip our mind entirely we will no longer miss meetings we have scheduled or we will no longer forget appointments we have scheduled because we can now easily stay organized by having all of our important tasks displayed within our outlook area of habitica and we will not only receive reminders from habitica but we will also receive reminders from our calendar software as well which gives us multiple chances at being reminded about those things that we need to take care of before they slip our minds entirely.
