  • How to use Gravity Forms and Intercom:

Gravity Forms. Gravity Forms is a great WordPress plugin for cplecting lead information. However, it lacks the ability to capture the user’s email address. For this purpose, you can integrate Gravity Forms with Intercom. It will help you to easily capture the user email address in your WordPress site. It will also add a contact form in your site and send an email to all users who sign up for your site.

Intercom. This is a web application that allows you to communicate with your existing website visitors. It helps to improve the quality of your site and make it more user-friendly.

Integration of Gravity Forms and Intercom:

In this article, we will see how to integrate Gravity Forms and Intercom. You can fplow these steps to integrate both the platforms:

    • First, log in to your WordPress site and click on Plugins > Add New.
    • In the search bar, type Gravity Forms and press Enter.
    • The first result should be Gravity Forms by Gravity Wiz. Click Install Now button.
    • On the next screen, just click Activate button. It will automatically install Gravity Forms in your site. However, if the activation page does not appear, check your web browser’s address bar and ensure that you have not been redirected from the official Gravity Forms page to a malicious site. If you have been redirected, close the tab or window immediately.
    • Next, log in to your Intercom account and click on Integrations tab at the top of the screen.
    • Now, search for ‘WordPress’ and click on Get Started button under ‘Gravity Forms’ integration.
    • After clicking on Get Started button, you need to click on Create Application button on the next screen. This will take you to the next screen where it will ask you to create an application name. Here you can give any application name that you want. For example, I have given the name ‘Gravity Forms Integration’. After that, click on Create button at the bottom of the page. Henceforth, it will take you to another page where it will ask you to fill out the details like ‘Application Name’, ‘App Domain’, ‘App Short Description’, ‘App Long Description’, etc… All these details are optional; however, I will recommend you to fill out all of them as per your need because these details will help you to identify your app later on when you want to edit or delete it.
    • After filling out all the details on the previous page, now it will take you to the next page where it will show you some basic details about your app. It includes its name, website URL where you can find out more about your app, app icon URL, short description, long description, etc… All these details are also optional; however, I would recommend you to fill out all these details as per your need because these details will help you later on when you want to edit or delete this app. After filling out all these details, click on Submit button. If everything goes fine, then it will take you back to the settings page where it will show you a page similar to this one:
    • Now scrpl down to Integrations section where you will see a new section called ‘Activate Integrations’. Click on ‘Activate Integrations’ link present there. It will take you to another page where it will show you all the integrations available for this app. Here you might see many integrations listed there; however only WordPress integration will be selected by default as shown below:
    • Now click on ‘Next’ button at the bottom of this page. It will take you to another page where it will show you some more data related to this integration i.e. App ID for this integration, API key for this integration, etc… All these details are also optional; however I would recommend you to fill out all these details as per your need because these details will help you later on when you want to edit or delete this app from your Intercom account. After filling out all these details, click on Submit button at the bottom of this page:
    • Now scrpl down and click on Save button at the bottom of this page:
