Google Calendar is a free web-based calendar application offered by Google.

Integration of Gravity Forms and Google Calendar

To integrate Gravity Forms with Google Calendar, you need to enable the Gravity Forms-Google Calendar integration, as well as the Google Calendar app in your WordPress dashboard.

Here are the steps to connect Gravity Forms and Google Calendar:

  • To enable the Gravity Forms-Google Calendar integration, visit the “Integrations” tab in your Gravity Forms settings page. Click “Google Calendar” under “Calendar Integrations” and select “Enabled” from the dropdown menu. Then, enter your Google account credentials into the form field provided.
  • To enable the Google Calendar app, visit your WordPress dashboard and click “Apps” under “Settings” on your left navigation bar. Then, click on “Add New” to add a new app. You can search for the “Google Calendar” app and click “Install Now” to install it. You will be redirected to a page that asks you to authorize the app to access your Google Calendar data. Click “Allow Access,” then click “Install App.”

You can create an appointment in your Google Calendar after receiving a form submission through your Gravity Forms plugin. To do this, go to the submission details page which is accessed by clicking on the form name on the forms list in your form manager. Then, click the “Create Appointment” button and select the visitor who filled out the form. You will then be prompted to choose an event title and time. Finally, click the “Create Event” button to save your work. The event will be added to your Google Calendar along with a link to your website.

  • Backup data from your website plugins

You can backup data from your website plugins such as Gravity Forms into Google Drive. All you need to do is install the Gravity Forms-Google Drive plugin (you can find it on the official WordPress repository. Once installed, fplow these steps:

  • Switch to the Google Apps Dashboard (you can do this by going to http://drive.google.com/a/yourdomainname.com/dashboard. You will see a notice from Google saying that you have a new plugin named “Gravity Forms Google Drive Synchronizer” installed on your WordPress dashboard. Click on “See Details” to proceed.
  • You will be redirected to a page explaining what this plugin does and how it works. Click on “Enable Plugin” to proceed. A confirmation box will appear at the bottom of this page asking for authorization for the plugin to access your Google Drive account information. Click on “Authorize” to proceed. A new page will appear showing you a list of all of your sites that have been connected to this plugin. Click on the “Synchronize Now” button next to each site listed under the “Your Sites” cpumn in order to synchronize its data with Google Drive. It may take a while before data starts syncing depending on the size of your database and how many records exist in it. When the synchronization process is complete, you should see an indication of this on this page.
