Integration of Gravity Forms and Facebook Shops

Facebook Shops are one of the new integration options for Gravity Forms. Facebook Shops allow you to cplect payment information from your customers through your Facebook page. The customer’s credit card information is not stored by Gravity Forms or Facebook Shops, but with Stripe. This means that you don’t have your customers’ credit cards on file. However, they are still able to make purchases without having to enter their credit card information again.

Integration of Gravity Forms and Facebook Shops

Integrating this plugin with Gravity Forms is very easy. Just fplow these instructions:

  • Log into your WordPress admin panel.
  • Go to Plugins>Add New.
  • Enter “Gravity Forms/Facebook Integration” into the search field.
  • Once you find the plugin, click Install Now.
  • Activate the plugin.
  • After activating the plugin, go to Appearance>Widgets and drag the “Gravity Forms/Facebook Integration” widget onto the sidebar where you would like it to appear on your site. You can change the text on the widget to say whatever you want it to say on your website. This will let you know that the integration is working correctly.
  • Go to Gravity Forms>Fields and create a new form for this product or service that you offer on your website. To do this, just click on Add New Field. You can enter anything you want into the Name field, but make sure it’s unique; otherwise, users will see multiple fields with the same name. Next, choose the type of field you want to create (e.g., Text, Email, or Checkbox. Then, click Create Field. On the next page, you will be given the option to either create a new form or use an existing form; choose your form and click Save & Continue. If you were creating a new form, then you will need to set up your field settings (e.g., Text field settings. Under Additional Settings, there is a setting called “Display on checkout page” with a drop-down menu next to it. In this drop-down menu, choose “Use Gravatar instead of photo” so that Gravatars can be used as images on your form instead of uploaded images from your computer. Under Processing Settings, check the box next to “Notify customer for errors” if you want to send a notification email to your customers when there are errors on their forms once they have submitted them. To configure the error messages that will appear on your form after a certain number of errors have occurred, go to Gravity Forms>Fields and click the field’s name in the General Information section. Then scrpl down until you see Errors and enter how many errors can occur before an error message is sent to customers in the text box next to Maximum allowed errors before notification email is sent. Once you have finished configuring all of your settings, click Save & Close. You will now be taken back to your form settings page and will see a message at the top that says “You have added a new field for this form” with a link that says Edit Fields. Click this link and then scrpl down until you see your new field and click on its name in order to configure it further (e.g., for Email fields, you can change what happens when someone clicks on the Email button. When you are finished configuring all of your fields’ settings, click Save & Close twice more and your form will now be finished!
