With the integration of GoToMeeting and OneDrive, users can easily share their files and documents during meetings. The integration is seamless; all you have to do is to use the “File” menu in GoToMeeting and select “Upload Files” option. This will start uploading files from your desktop or local hard drive to the remote server. Once uploaded, you can share it by sharing the URL or embedding it directly into the document.

Another benefit of this integration is that you can host your meeting in Microsoft Office online. This means that you don’t need to install any desktop meeting software on your computer; all you need to do is to access office.com to start the meeting.

If you are hosting a conference call at 7 pm in your area, but you have cpleagues from different parts of the world on board, you can either schedule the meeting at 5 am for them or ask them to join the meeting after work (if their time zone is different from yours. With this integration, both the options are possible. So, no matter what time zone your cpleagues are in, they will be able to attend your meeting without changing their schedule.
  • It helps you share your files during meetings easily and efficiently. You don’t have to email the file to each cpleague individually and wait for them to open it; you can upload it in seconds and share it with everyone in the meeting. This will start uploading your PowerPoint presentation (or any other file present on your computer. to the server. Once uploaded, you can share it by sharing its URL or embedding it directly into a document. This way, all participants of your meeting will be able to download the file at once—there is no need for them to download it from your computer separately or open an email attachment containing a link to download the file from somewhere else on the internet. All participants will see it simultaneously when you embed it into a document or share its URL with them.
  • It allows multiple people to use the same file or document at once (even if they are not in the same meeting room. Let’s say that we just hosted a meeting with ten cpleagues and shared some presentation slides with them via OneDrive (instead of sending it as an attachment via email. Now, let’s say two of them want to edit this presentation together; they can just do that by opening up Microsoft PowerPoint on their computers and opening up the presentation that they were sent via OneDrive (you will notice that there will be two versions of this presentation open on their computers. They can now make changes in it simultaneously and compare notes. When they finish editing it and save it, everyone who was sent the original version will get an update alert informing them about changes made in the document. This way, multiple users can cplaborate on a single document without accessing it from separate devices connected to a network (i.e., without using SharePoint.
