The service includes a platform for both desktop and mobile devices, as well as a feature set for recording the session content, live sharing of PowerPoint slides, screen sharing, chat and whiteboard functions.

GoToMeeting was developed by Citrix Online (formerly known as NetMeeting), which was acquired by Citrix Systems in 2003. GoToWebinar was launched in 2006 as an addition to GoToMeeting.

Canny is a commercial web conferencing and telephony application that allows users to conduct structured or unstructured meetings and presentations via computer with multiple participants. The service includes a platform for both desktop and mobile devices, as well as a feature set for recording the session content, live sharing of PowerPoint slides, screen sharing, chat and whiteboard functions.

Canny was launched in December 2011 by CannySoft Inc., a software development firm based in St. Petersburg, Florida. It serves as an alternative to GoToMeeting and other web conferencing applications used by small to medium-sized organizations. Its features include integrated telephony calling, multi-language support, advanced security features, Skype integration, mobile app compatibility, audio/video quality improvements, and convenience features such as scheduled meeting reminders, recurring meetings, self-service account management, and flexible pricing options.
